Team Summary

The Visa Consumer Products and Solutions team is responsible for Visa Consumer Products and Solutions team is responsible for developing and commercializing new solutions in partnership with our clients as well as internal stakeholders.

 What a Director- Prepaid Products and Solutions does at Visa:

The role will be responsible for managing the Prepaid Products P&L for India & South Asia, and involves demonstrating thought leadership in the area of prepaid products, implementing portfolio enhancement initiatives to accelerate client business growth and working closely with senior stakeholders in client organizations, within Visa and with other key industry stakeholders.

The role holder must work closely with CRM (client relationship management) & other functional groups such as merchant solutions, marketing, digital & innovation teams to lead successful efforts by Visa in winning new business and delivering product objectives both FI and non-FI clients and partners.

Prepaid is amongst the most versatile products in our suite and is the “gateway to digital”. Whether its an established bank or a fintech, the prepaid portfolio is one of the most important drivers of revenue and new product roll-outs.

Projects you will be a part of:

  • Developing and executing on the product strategy for the prepaid business covering India and South Asia and deliver on the requisite financials such as net revenue yield, cards, payments volume, x-border volume and transactions
  • Develop and execute Visa India and South Asia’s cross-border strategy.
  • Commercialize Visa’s prepaid solution through product & distribution partnerships with FIs (banks, NBFCs, CatAD2 players, FFMCs), non FIs, fintech and technology players.
  • Lead market expansion through identification of use cases across consumer, commercial, government businesses - creating new growth opportunities for Visa
  • Deliver on product solutions encompassing core products & digital capabilities (NFC, P2P, tokenization, Visa APIs, ecommerce solutions, QR payments, mobile/ web solutions)
  • Work closely with the Visa’s global & regional teams in defining GTM strategy for new Visa products & capabilities including enhancement, localization, deployment & pricing
  • Develop products, value proposition, pricing models, distribution plays, and implement rules that support judicious business growth
  • Leverage opportunities to co-create product propositions, consulting & analytical solutions for clients
  • Plan & execute efficacious client & consumer campaigns to bolster portfolio metrics
  • Manage & lead representation for favorable framework with internal & external stakeholders including government relations, regulators, trade bodies, industry forums

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in the payments industry, preferably in prepaid product development, portfolio management & strategy
  • Experience in fintech, telecom and ecommerce will be also be an advantage.
  • Master’s Degree in business, engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in P&L ownership & sharp understanding of macroeconomics, consumer behaviour, product operations, business processes
  • Strategic thought leadership coupled with execution bias to drive initiatives and meet key result areas
  • Ability and experience of working in a multi-cultural, matrix environment is required
  • Self-motivated, results driven, flexible, customer focused attitude. Strong team-player.

  • Direct & demonstrated capabilities in digital payments encompassing core payment products, mobile & ecommerce platforms
  • Product & project management experience with expertise in system architecture, payment flows across products
  • Sound business acumen, analytical skills and keen understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability drivers 
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, coupled with demonstrated negotiation and business development skills as the position requires interaction with senior professionals in financial institutions, Visa and alliance partners
