Corporate Information Technology (CIT) encompasses enterprise technology that empowers Visa Inc. staff to perform core business functions needed to support ongoing management of Visa Inc. operations. Corporate Finance Systems (CFS) is a group within CIT that provides application development and maintenance service to support smooth and efficient Finance business operations at a global level. The team is responsible for designing, developing and deploying projects and enhancements for Visa’s Financial ERP Systems, which consists of Oracle ERP (eBusiness Suite R12), SAP Ariba, SAP Concur and other related applications.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play an important role in the Corporate Finance Systems ERP Solutions team. We are looking for someone who is hands-on and willing to challenge existing solutions and development processes, to contribute in building system solutions with emphasis in user experience, functionality, automation, resilience, performance and availability.
Responsible for designing, developing and deploying enhancements and projects for Visa’s Finance ERP Systems, primarily Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12) and SAP Cloud Applications (Ariba, Concur).
Provide strong hands-on technical expertise, analyze business requirement, identify risks, and collaborate with functional team and business users, to deliver flexible, innovative, cost effective solutions while meeting business needs.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Financial ERP applications. Provide Level 3 production support for any elevated issues from Operation Support.
Estimate work effort and staffing needs, develop conceptual approach, proof of concept prototypes, and technical execution plan, track progress against milestones, and drive results in partnership with other team members
Design and execute unit test cases. Collaborate with QA team on formal QA testing.
Collaborate with project management and functional/Production Support teams to ensure on time delivery of projects, production support plans, and knowledge transfer for long-term supportability of upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.
Evaluate 3rd party tools for security, scalability and fit
Work with Engineering teams (Windows, UNIX, Network, Storage and Middleware) to translate application requirements into system requirements.
Create comprehensive documentation of designs for both small and large projects that take into account all areas of development.
Present solutions to key stakeholders and demonstrate working software to leads and management.
Follow existing application standards, conventions and best practices as part of the existing SDLC.
Work with limited direction to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels. Engage in lessons learned and continuous process improvement around the SDLC.
Ensure that applications and code are compliant with Visa security requirements.
Provide assistance to other team members as needed.
4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
3 years of experience designing and implementing Financial ERP systems using Oracle ERP or SAP Ariba, Concur
7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
6 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Financial ERP systems with emphasis in Procure to Pay and Financial Accounting domain, utilizing Tier 1 global ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).
Proficiency in Oracle ERP or SAP Ariba related technology stacks such as OA Framework, SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, Approval Rule engines, Ariba Guided Buying, Ariba Forms.
Experience in and understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies. Strong track record of successful project delivery. At least one full cycle implementation of Oracle ERP or SAP Ariba.
Extensive functional knowledge of either Oracle EBS modules in Procure to Pay and Record to Report, or in SAP Ariba Source to Pay modules. Finance operations (accounts payable, sourcing, accounting, financial internal controls) business process knowledge in a global setting.
Strong expertise in system integration and familiarity with enterprise application integration (EAI) tools and technologies, such as SOA Suite, MuleSoft, Tibco.
Extensive experience in supporting a complex, global production environment and maintaining operational excellence. Ability to mobilize and escalate to any level necessary to get issues solved timely and effectively.
Passion for enterprise Financial ERP systems technologies and continuous innovation. Ability to translate complex ideas into easy to understand concepts and articulate technical solutions
A good team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a global environment.
Driven and self-motivated. Work creatively to solve challenging problems. Multi-tasking ability essential to handle multiple priorities with minimal direction from management.
Experience collaborating with small to medium sized teams working in remote location.
