Team Summary

Visa’s Digital Partnerships group is a global client facing organization that drives Visa’s public innovation agenda, develops commercial partnerships with industry leading brands and platform providers and develops relationships with growing Fintech partners.  The team in Asia manages both regional and global partnerships and development of specific and scalable programs across the region.

What a Senior Director, Account Management does at Visa:

This is a senior account management professional who will manage and oversee all business relationships between Visa and large strategic digital partner regionally; ensuring that Visa is the payment provider of choice while profitably growing Visa’s business with the client. The role requires strong commercial, relationship, technology and project management expertise, underpinned by a solid knowledge of payments. The role will work closely with the country teams across multiple markets as well as other Visa functions like Merchant Sales, Product, Finance, Consulting and Client Services teams and with all key stakeholders at the digital partner, specifically the Global Head of Financial Institution Co-operation, the Head of Product and the Global Head of Global Wallets, who are all based in China. In addition, he/she will work with senior executives across other key markets like Hong Kong, and Singapore. The reporting line for this role is into the Head of Digital Accounts & Fintech, AP.  The Senior Director will be responsible for excellence in delivering the program of work associated with the Client partnership contract/ program.  A key area of focus will be the execution of the partnership agreement with the digital partner including the delivery of the marketplace program and a new wallet platform that supports the interoperability of Visa and partner services. Through engagement and experience with Visa products, platforms and services, the role will drive customer advocacy, increase engagement and preference for Visa products and solutions

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action.
• Ability to think big and launch “industry leading” ideas. Experience combining products or business assets in non-traditional ways to create new opportunities
• Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
• Excellent verbal and written skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to understand the depths of the AP marketplace dynamics including the regulatory environment, technological and consumer behavioral shifts tying this back to impact to Visa
• Demonstrated ability to influence diverse groups of professionals that have expertise in different domains and at times conflicting agendas
• Understanding of where value drivers to both businesses will be derived including strategic long term thought leadership for longer term value
• Experience leading multinational client accounts
• Demonstrated ability in driving sales results to meet revenue projections/targets and managing to a budget and financial acumen to articulate a return on investment
• Demonstrated experience in managing resources (as direct or indirect reports) to meet goals across multiple projects and markets
• Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team, with time constraints.
• Strong persuasion and influencing capabilities.
• Experience in a global business environment a must
• Fluent in both Mandarin and English – written and verbal

Additional Information

Projects you will be a part of:

In conjunction with the General Managers, Merchant and Product AP business leadership:
• Own the Governance Framework to support the delivery of the program of work associated with digital partner
• The scope of the role will to establish and maintain the business relationship between Visa and digital partner.
• Manage and refine Program processes, including Issue Resolution, Risk Management and Stakeholder Management processes for the partnership program of work.
• Design and manage the development and execution of the Program Annual Operating Plan including tasks, resourcing, key milestones and progress reporting.
• Lead and administer the Steering Group in consultation with the Digital Partner and Visa Leadership
• Establish and manage the projects endorsed by the Steering Group that form the entire program of work between Digital Partner and Visa.
• Manage the program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement.
• Co-ordinate and communicate the goals and processes necessary for implementing the program of work, including, but not limited to a monthly report.
• Take accountability as business owner within Visa for each of the projects delivered under the program of work and coordinate working teams to deliver against Visa and Digital Partner expectations
• Ensure compliance with Visa contracted product delivery requirements, processes and tools.
• Manage project staffing, resource setting and dependency management
• Work with subject matter experts to fully understand project requirements
• Influence and negotiate resolution of any project resource conflicts based on project priority as well as Partner priorities
• Build business cases and secure regional or global resources when required.
• Consult and collaborate with the Partner to ensure alignment with strategic objectives of the Digital Partner.
• Collaborate with Digital Partner lead to build organizational agility by focusing on scenario planning for Digital Partner.
