We are seeking a Reporting Systems Analyst to join our Distributed Systems, Operations and Engineering Application Support Team. Responsibilities will include managing and maintaining mission critical 24*7 applications. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment and will be a liaison between the Product Office and Product Development. You will also be working closely with infrastructure, security and other teams as required.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide proactive Production support for MicroStrategy and other BI/Analytics applications by resolution of issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide 24/7 support as needed and work with offshore teams to facilitate around the clock support for applications and services.
  • Support MicroStrategy applications in Production, which includes provisioning and implementation of fixes to production defects and making light enhancements.
  •  Evaluate incidents/defects, investigate, identify root cause and come up with solutions to address the same.
  •  Work with software vendors to open defects, log issues and seek resolutions and/or patches.
  •  Work with other Technology Services teams and participate/contribute during Infrastructure and/or software upgrades.
  •  Interact with business teams and other stakeholders to understand and recommend BI solutions to meet diverse, complex business needs.
  • Contribute and Participate in MicroStrategy design and code reviews

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree and 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelors and 5 years of related work experience
  •  Minimum 3 years of current and hands-on experience with the MicroStrategy tools and demonstrated expertise with complex and high volume Cubes. Thorough knowledge of all capabilities of the MicroStrategy Suite
  • Minimum 5 years of current and hands-on experience with SQL and Relational databases
  • Demonstrated experience delivering solutions to stringent SLAs for report performance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  •  Experience working with dedicated and matrixed resources
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MicroStrategy Certifications
  • Experience with MicroStrategy SDK a plus
  • Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.)

Work Hours

  • Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements

  • This position does not require the incumbent to travel for work.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
