Job Description

What’s it all about?

The Client Marketing Senior Manager will support the development and execution of the annual Marketing plan of a Key Visa Financial Institution Client,  and is responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns, driving client satisfaction. Interpersonal skills are critical, as it demands an interface with Visa product and sales teams as well as stakeholders within the client bank. The ideal candidate has proven core marketing skills, is analytically savvy and should have a thorough knowledge of multi-channel marketing, experience managing marketing programs to execution, have a business outcome based mindset, be comfortable managing project budgets, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Rome.

So what do we expect of you, day to day?

Here’s a bit of a heads up:

  • You will define the B2B2C strategy and Marketing plan under supervision of the HoM to increase the level of client activations, by partnering with marketing on central and sub-regional levels, sub-regional and local product owners, and client facing teams to identity and execute upon opportunities to effectively market Visa products
  • Everyone is a leader at Visa, and you will manage the co-marketing programmes to drive high revenue growth, ensuring maximum traction with client and merchants, sharing your subject matter expertise and acting in a mentorship capacity where appropriate
  • You will manage and accurately report budgets and deliver projects on time
  • You will develop innovative, ‘new to Visa’ ways of maximising reach via the client
  • You will ensure that planned marketing activities align with key Visa priorities and client objectives and have well defined business and marketing KPIs
  • You will conduct analysis and provide locally focused thought leadership and advice by leveraging data, metrics, and insights to be shared with internal teams, senior management, and the external client
  • You will manage local agency partners to execute integrated marketing programs and communications, endeavouring to break down silos and work together as “One Visa”
  • You will champion the brand position in the market for B2B and B2B2C audiences

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • A passion for Retail and Fintech
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong strategic marketing background with at least considerable experience delivering measurable business results
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Very good understanding of Visa and the payments eco-system is a plus
  • Experience with developing multi-channel marketing programs and comfort using data to optimize campaigns from multiple sources
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders to deliver accurate and on-time project deliverables
  • Strong influencing skills to persuade and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Sociable and confident interacting at a more senior level
  • Italian mother tongue and fluency in English
  • Self-driven and highly motivated
  • Strong influencing skills – ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence
  • Ability to lead and facilitate impactful discussions with a large group
  • Good cultural understanding and sensitivity
  • Able to lead and adapt to change
