Job Description

The Visa Business Solutions (VBS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team as we expand globally. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.  Our focus within Business Solutions is to identify needs, assess opportunities and options and quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution.

Within VBS, the Business Solutions team in LAC is a client facing organization that sets Visa’s strategy and value proposition for the enterprise world, leads product design and innovation agenda, co-develops solutions and capabilities by securing strategic partnerships with industry leading brands and New Payment Enablers, and promotes hands on incubation and rapid prototyping to demonstrate the science of the possible for clients and partners in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

The Senior Director of Business Solutions Platforms LAC is responsible for leading a team to set regional strategy for the expansion of payment tools and technological capabilities in the region. The position will be in charge of cultivating and expanding both the business travel and the B2B payments ecosystem. This position has a pivotal role in aligning with Global strategy while adjusting for specific regional and country needs.

The Senior Director of Business Solutions Platforms LAC will need to be a creative thinker with an outstanding ability to craft solutions that are complex whilst building real market differentiation for Visa. The role requires an ability to work in ambiguity in a matrix environment, influencing internally as well as externally to craft these ‘market firsts’ with new partners 

Essential Functions:

•             Enterprise platforms: This role requires a deep real understanding of Enterprise platforms as well as a passion for technology, a futurist view, ability to understand and assemble trends in their respective industries and deep understanding of the business solutions payments landscape.

·               Lead platform design and innovation agenda: co-develop solutions and capabilities with industry leading brands and New Payment Enablers. This role leads the digital transformation of the business solutions segment for Visa’s Latin America and Caribbean region including the development and evolution of the innovation narrative, discovering and cataloging Visa assets that support the innovation agenda (e.g., workshops and panels, client brainstorming sessions) and fleshing out the innovation delivery methodology. He/she will bring a mix of skills across critical thinking, Human Centered Design, analysis, written communication and active participation.

Drive Execution and excel in business processes: this role will execute functional business plans and contribute to the development of functional strategies, support various key operational initiatives including developing operational rules, and enabling and delivering content and education to support internal and external clients.

Qualifications

§  12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

§  Experience in payment industry platforms, platform development and management and financial technology,

Preferred Qualifications

§  15-18 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or PhD)

§  8 years of progressive responsibilities in payment industry platforms, platform development and management and financial technology, Previous experience working in technology, FinTech, and B2B payables preferred.

§  Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.

§  Work Hours

·    Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

§  Travel Requirements

·    This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 25% of the time
