What’s It All About?

Client Services provides industry-leading operational support to Visa’s clients around the world. With our deep knowledge and expertise, we are a key internal partner to product and technology, bringing the voice of the customer into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and services, and enabling our client facing teams to deliver and scale new products, services and initiatives into the market.

Within Client Services, the role of the Global Readiness team is to take ownership of an initiative and deliver with excellence for our clients. Readiness enables Client Service teams to engage clients and partner cross-functionally to identify solve and supply the client facing support teams with what they need to enable our clients’ success.

We are hiring a Senior Analyst to support global readiness activities to achieve success with the Numerics Initiative – how Visa is implementing the new ISO standard on BIN length. Our goal is to facilitate a successful and seamless adoption by our clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and third-party service providers) around the world. Visa is taking this opportunity as relevant to update its approach to managing the BIN and the related processing numerics that support its transactions in VisaNet and the downstream systems.

This leader will be instrumental to the success of this multi-faceted, global project that touches upon all functional areas at Visa with impacts across our entire client base. This program is especially complex as it involves managing changes to in-market product portfolios and platforms to accommodate the new standard. The successful candidate will enable our operational client-facing teams through leading development and delivery of significant operational components for this program. The successful candidate will have proven experience in getting things done in a highly dynamic, constantly changing business environment. They will have deep knowledge of the available administrative and management tools, processes, resources and communication channels used at Visa to work across teams, functions and geographies. It will be essential for the candidate to understand numeric and operational standards, payment processing, and the client business landscape. Importantly, we will need a candidate who can built strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Client Services, Sales, IT and Product, and is always interested in improving and innovating to better address client needs.

The success of the adoption of the Numerics Initiative will directly affect Visa’s reputation and our positioning as a leader in the industry. This Senior Analyst will be instrumental in driving the successful adoption of the Numerics Initiative by internal and external clients, reinforcing Visa’s position as an industry leader and innovation company.

The WHAT.

  • Owns set up and administration for Numerics Initiative sessions across the various stakeholder groups; including meeting scheduling, minute taking, preparing agendas and circulating inputs/outputs on a timely basis. Takes decisions on how to optimize team progress and collaboration; administer and updates meeting materials and communicates to-do’s, and indicated actions out to stakeholders
  • Own the Numeric global mailbox and accountable for timely and conclusive answers to client requests and questions.  Maintains metrics to track origin and type of requests with intent to assess implications and make recommendations accordingly on gaps or opportunity in Initiative design, training or resources.
  • Lead small scale and ad hoc projects as part of this complex, and multi-year global effort. Examples include development and launch of new reporting or enhancements to existing tools to accommodate changes required to facilitate launch or accommodate change long-term. As part of this ownership, works with business and technology subject matter experts to create estimates, produce project charters, schedules and working artifacts. Will lead related meetings supported with agendas, meeting minutes and timely and accurate project updates including identification of challenges and risks.
  • Leads development and enhancements to Dynamics across multiple target client profiles as required for the Numerics Initiative. Includes identifying opportunities and solutions for using tool based on learning post-launch, and newly-identified client engagement needs.
  • Responsible for maintenance and administration of repositories/collaboration tools used by the team such as Sharepoint or Teams
  • Develops a strong partnership with the relevant global and regional Client Services, Sales, Product, IT and cross-functional teams. Acts as antenna for the project leads to provide input on necessary course corrections or communication gaps.
  • Support gathering relevant business and technical details and data required for client success.
  • Liaise with Project Manager and teams to ensure alignment in project planning and management
  • Serve as an organizational support to Core team leads, helping to identify gaps and bolster capabilities, solve problems proactively and real-time, and deliver relevant knowledge.
  • Attend client meetings as requested.
  • Embrace and implement new methodologies and optimize on an ongoing basis as the business scales within the organization.
  • Support Numerics team to prioritize deliverables, track to KPIs, identify opportunities and provide executive level reporting

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 
  • At least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 
  • 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
  • Knowledge of Visa numeric landscape, technical change process, client payments processing and operational environments
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other collaboration tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Dynamics, Project, SharePoint or equivalent) required.
  • Strong analytical abilities with excellent knowledge of tracking and reporting data across various geographies

Work Hours

Candidate must make themselves available during core business hours in the US, with recognition that global nature of role will involve early- and or late-availability at time as well.

Travel Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 20% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
