Job Description

Purpose

This role is to work alongside Senior Sales Management, to further develop nominated existing partners as well as recruit a portfolio of key commercial partners within the European Payments sector. A specialist role that requires a high degree of business maturity and self-motivation in order define and execute plans, to increase indirect sales within the European region and identify short-term tactical partner opportunities that generate profitable channel sales with minimal current infrastructure. The individual is expected to utilise a combination of sales, new business development and effective relationship management skills to optimise income opportunity from these ‘virtual sales teams’.

Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area

  • Production of  annual plans to illustrate the commercial partner opportunities inherent within target  sectors
  • Research, identify and assist in the recruitment of a portfolio of key commercial partners.
  • Manage relationship with key partners
  • Delivery of “partner specific” account plans for strategic partner accounts to ensure delivery against set income targets.
  • New business income and lead generation from partners portfolio.
  • Year on year increases in productivity of partner portfolio.
  • Work closely with line manager and partner team to make recommendations to Marketing and Product to enhance the CyberSource proposition.
  • Self-motivated and ability to travel globally if required
  • Ability to demonstrate high levels of confidence and a ‘can do’ attitude as the role will involve the need to think outside the box in order to develop commercially focussed strategic business partnerships
  • A deep understanding of the vertical markets likely to have strategic partners with cards based requirements
  • Ability to empathise and collaborate with key stakeholders in other departments and divisions of CyberSource and wider Visa organisation is essential.

Financial & Organizational Scope

  • Responsible for working with additional CyberSource and Visa Inc. stakeholders
  • No direct reports, this is an individual contributor role

Required Experience (education, skills - professional/technical/business)

  • Proven track record of previous sales & relationship management experience
  • High degree of knowledge about card processing, acquiring and online payment technologies
  • Experience & understanding of the challenges involved in developing channel strategy across Global  territories
  • Ability to collaborate with existing internal sales channels in the avoidance of internal / external channel conflict
  • Ability to proactively identify & secure new, partnerships in both a payment and fraud environment
  • A strong ability to ‘facilitate’ and influence both internally & externally
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of card schemes and related payment and data regulations
  • Knowledge of eCommerce Platform providers (eg SAP Hybris, SalesForce Coud Commerce,…), PSP, Global Distribution Systems, Acquiring banks, System Integrators, and their corresponding  technical / payments infrastructure is highly advantageous

 Preferred Experience (education, skills - professional/technical/business)

  • Experience of working across complex organisations
  • Ideally a background in technology sales
  • Banking and French payment processing ecosystem knowledge and procedural awareness is preferred
  • In depth understanding of relationship management skills and ability to leverage that knowledge to achieve overall business objectives
  • Standard operating procedures and commission practices within reseller channels
