Job Description

As part of Data Products team, this Senior Manager will have responsibility for leading business development and go-to-market efforts for VisaVue Travel product.

VisaVue Travel provides the tourism industry with aggregated insights into the spending behavior of international and domestic visitors leveraging the breadth and depth of Visa's transaction data. In this role, you'll support both the business development and the customer success of our users—tourism researchers and marketers at destination marketing organizations.

This highly motivated individual will be responsible for coordinating efforts with internal and external stakeholders to maximize adoption and utilization of VisaVue Travel. To be successful, this individual will work in close collaboration across the entire organization to serve clients and help evangelize the product externally. This person should have great problem solving skills with an ability to position and construct the right solution to meet client needs.

This role will report to the head of sales. He/she will have significant exposure to key leaders across the Visa organization.

This role can be based in our offices in either Arlington VA, San Francisco CA, Foster City CA or New York City.

Essential Functions

  • Build and manage sales pipeline
  • Develop and execute sales strategies
  • Close deals and deliver on sales goals
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, providing support throughout the customer lifecycle  (support existing clients and bring in new clients)
  • Understand customer outcomes by communicating with customers and gathering feedback
  • Have a deep understanding and expertise of the data product and ability to communicate and advise customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer input is provided throughout the sales, marketing, and product processes and materials

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.

  • Possess significant functional knowledge of travel/tourism industry and players involved, including in-depth knowledge around data, business intelligence and insight solutions

  • Comfortable presenting and pitching to clients

  • Experience managing and supporting clients across the customer lifecycle

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years’ experience in business development in the travel/tourism and data products space

  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization

  • Razor focus on sales targets, with demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness to overcome unexpected roadblocks

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 50% of the time.
