Job Description

The Corporate Systems Engineering team is looking for a hybrid Senior Systems Engineer to help us enable and support our Enterprise Voice & Citrix infrastructures. We are searching for a passionate engineer to join our team in Foster City, California to help us deploy and support technologies that enable our users to connect around the globe. The motivated candidate should have a solid understanding of Cisco Call Manager administration and a base understanding of Citrix server technology and administration. Engineers typically work under the guidance of SME lead engineers and managers responsible for a given area.

Essential Functions:

  • Install, configure and support Citrix software (Receiver, Virtual Apps & Desktops)
  • Support of Windows servers (2012, 2016, and 2019)
  • Configure and support Windows based GPOs
  • Software packaging of applications to be hosted on Citrix servers
  • Patching and monitoring of Citrix server infrastructures
  • Help manage releases of Cisco Call Manager, Teams & Skype for Business 2019
  • Support Cisco Call Manager, work end user tickets and help users transition to Skype & Teams
  • Help users connect to o365 cloud services for Teams online services
  • Partner with Architects, Engineers and Operations individuals across a variety of services and infrastructure organizations to resolve issues, provide technical feedback, and to contribute to the overall direction
  • Enhance and improve existing infrastructure through automation and reporting
  • Collaborate effectively with a team, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Successfully deliver projects, meet project milestones, and communicate issues/risks appropriately
  • Develop and document policies, procedures, and associated training plans for systems administration and operations teams
  • Take hand off of problems from SME leads and work them independently to root cause

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  •  3+ years relevant Cisco Call Manager and/or Audiocodes systems experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and related components
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems up to and including Windows Server and Windows 10 workstation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESX
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows Server 2012+
  • Experience with proxy servers, firewalls, and other network devices
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, activities and work streams
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users
  • Excellent client service delivery with a focus on the end user experiences
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications is a plus

Additional Information

Working Hours:

  • Incumbent is expected to work during core business hours
 
Travel Requirements:
  • Incumbent will be expected to travel <5%
 

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
