Job Description

Part of the US Small Business client enablement team, Visa is looking for an experienced and passionate subject matter expert to join the team.  In consultation with the broader client enablement team you will support the development of the US Small Business product strategy and work with the team in delivering the plan for the business in US Market. You will support the US Small Business Team in delivering on product related initiatives to help provide more relevant business solutions to clients in the US market. 

Essential Functions:

You will be responsible for the US Small Business product & initiatives, solution ideation, development, delivery and enablement of products and services for the market. You will need to quickly understand key demands from the clients and their Small Business customers and execute on the core initiatives that are identified.

Overall deliverables would be to help the team optimize and grow their issuing client base. You will solve for clients’ and small businesses’ needs, develop a strategic product road map, and manage its execution.  This includes product & initiative development, implementation, and marketing, to bring products and services to market.

A natural collaborator you will work closely with the Small Business Global Product, Digital and Partnerships teams to ensure that their key deliverables & strategy have the US market & clients in mind.  Additional collaboration required with Marketing, Analytics, Global Technology, Global Information Security and Finance, to deliver product, platform, and analytic capabilities

You will be the Small Business product suite custodian and thus have in depth understanding of product rules and pricing considerations for issuers both traditional & non-traditional. You will ensure compliance with products, brand and risk management standards.

Execute short and long-term business planning, including the ongoing design and implementation of product enhancements supported by the Global Product and Platform organizations as well as other Visa Teams.

You will bring thought leadership and execution guidance, via the client enablement team, to issuers for creating robust platforms which help differentiate Visa value in Business cards, win new mandates, increase revenue for Visa and create stickiness with clients

Qualifications

Basic Qualification: 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business/Marketing degree

  • Minimum 6 years industry experience in Small Business Card Products

  • Experience in product management and/or launching new products

  • Have worked in top-tier financial institutions, consulting firm, payments network or financial services firm where you have developed strategies and implemented the plan

  • The ability to translate analytics, research, and client/consumer needs into actionable plans and deliverables.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally to Visa and be an ambassador for SME.

  • Multi-level stakeholder management

    OTHER COMMENTS The candidate must be a payments industry professional with ability to drive and maximize existing business as well as develop opportunities in a sophisticated mature market. This is an important emphasis and cannot be compromised. The candidate must have previously demonstrated strong commercial acumen, influential and confident demeanor and strong relationship management/building skills. This position has ownership of commercial products expertise that heavily influences a customer’s decision to partner with Visa. A successful candidate will hold strong relationships with Client Enablement Teams and Account Executives that drive payments on the Visa product.

Travel Requirements: This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 10% of the time.

 

Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
