Job Description

THE TEAM

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible and impactful results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, marketing, brand management, operations and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The North America Strategy & Operations team (S&O) within VCA is responsible for developing the infrastructure that helps accelerate the growth of our client-facing consulting and analytics services. We work closely with our consulting and analytics colleagues in North America (US and Canada) and Global VCA, while also collaborating cross-functionally across Visa with teams such as Finance, Product, Strategy, HR and Sales. The VCA NA S&O team’s primary objectives are: operationalizing strategic initiatives and processes that can help the organization scale rapidly and effectively, increasing coordination across Visa, tracking and reporting of key metrics to VCA’s success, and execution of all other strategic priorities for VCA North America.

The Manager –Business Operations, Visa Consulting & Analytics, will help support the analysis, design and execution of VCA’s operational and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has an analytical and strategic mindset, is excited by challenge, comfortable working under minimal supervision, adaptable, and capable of both owning and managing projects from concept to execution. The Manager – Business & Operations is responsible for executing on current initiatives in cue, identifying process/reporting gaps and challenges, and helping the S&O team to remove barriers to efficiency and efficacy wherever they exist.  Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are a must. This individual will not only help VCA identify opportunities for scale and greater efficiency, and support his/her direct manager on the execution of strategic priorities, but also own the development and implementation of a comprehensive talent performance and retention program for VCA.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Interface with senior VCA leadership and external Visa partners on behalf of VCA Strategy & Operations
  • Leverage VCA’s internal tools and tracking to generate insights, key performance metrics, and summary reports for monthly and ad hoc presentation to leadership
  • Solicit, prioritize and help implement executive-driven feedback on the design of operational tools that are used to support VCA
  • Execute analysis, produce actionable insights and build solutions that help S&O better support VCA’s core business and it’s talent strategy
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas, including VCA global, to execute various projects
  • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations that provide impactful support to VCA’s growth and performance
  • Continually explore opportunities for improvement to existing programs, processes and reporting

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual, capable of working collaboratively and effectively with others, and laser-focused on driving results.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, and/or 3 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations; comfort with slide-making, pivot tables, excel formulas, graphing, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant and progressive experience in business operations, program management, human capital consulting or other related field
  • Experience with systems implementation
  • Experience with Quick Base, Tableau, Visio and SharePoint are a plus

Additional Information

Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

Location: Foster City, CA with ability to work in the SF office when needed. Relocation assistance will not be offered for this role. 

Work Hours: Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Travel: Incumbent must be able to travel up to 5%

Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
