• Lead strategic data products work-stream, aimed at enriching and monetizing our VisaNet data by developing edge-cutting innovative data products and integration with external data sources, such as Credit Bureau or Fiscal data operators

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in guiding and building data products for other markets in Visa

• Lead tasks on R&D, data governance, system infrastructure, analytics tool evaluation

• Prepare functional requirements, define and control tasks set for developers

• Perform system analysis of incoming business tasks on the matter of data and IT architecture

• Support the development processes, perform bottle-neck analysis, prepare test plans, test and accept results

• Help us staying at the forefront of technical advancement in data science and introducing cutting edge tools and techniques for generating business insights

• Provide thought leadership in analytic techniques and business applications to unlock the value from unique datasets of Visa and partners

• Continuously develop and present innovative ideas based on data driven approach in order to improve business processes

• Constantly improve Visa external image as data driven innovative by participation in and organization of external workshops and meet-ups

• Vendor onboarding and resource management

• When team expands, will get a chance to lead a couple of junior analysts to manage operations of data products

• Drive and lead function development strategy together with Data Science function Head

• Back-up for Data Science Head in Russia

• MS in engineering, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics or other related fields

• At least 5 years of experience in Banking, Retailers or payment system.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience of relevant experience in data, analytics, and statistics

• Extensive experience applying analytics and creating innovative solutions to solve business problems

• Extensive experience in presenting ideas and analysis to various audience levels

• Good business acumen to orient data analysis to business needs of clients

• Strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills

• Ability to clearly communicate the meaning of analytical concepts, analyses and results

• Ability to execute multiple projects and tasks with competing priorities while meeting required deadlines

  Technical Skills

• Hands on experience with -  SAS, Hive, R, SQL, Python, Hadoop, Spark

• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, clustering, decision tree, Gradient Boosting, Random forests, Support Vector Machine, Deep learning, etc.) and experience with applications.

• Understanding of algorithms and ability to optimize various program complexities using suitable data structures

• Ability to define and support the quality assurance cycle

• Experience in conducting sensitivity analysis

• Experience in model management, automation of the processes of publication and monitoring

• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently and able to meet deadlines.

• Experience designing and building new data products is an advantage
