Job Description

We are currently seeking Senior Director to head strategy and integration activities. The position will be based in Arlington, Va. This Sr. Director will be a key leader on the Integration, Operations & Strategy (IOS) team in support of the Data, Security & Identity Products (DSIP) team. This team aligns with the Business Strategy & Operations function within the Product organization at Visa.

Business Strategy and Operations focuses on defining and driving strategic, operational, and organizational improvements across Visa Product Group. Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • leading organizational planning, reporting, and employee engagement;

  • determining and fixing accountability for critical people and business processes throughout the organization; and

  • leading cross-product improvements / efforts such as business continuity planning, business risk analysis, and compliance / audit adherence.

The Integration, Operations, & Strategy (IOS) team within DSIP has the following objectives:

  1. Establish operational disciplines

  2. Enable DSIP to generate future growth

  3. Support DSIP to execute on strategy

  4. Integrate Data, Security, Identity & Cardinal teams into 1 winning organization

  5. Support DSIP on all strategic projects & initiatives

The objectives 2,3,&4 above are specific to this role.

More on role objectives:

  1. Enable DSIP to generate future growth

    • Collaborate with Sr Director of Operations to link established set of operational metrics to strategy and goals for FY20 and beyond

    • Support the measurement, monitoring, and communication of performance against these metrics to enable leadership to act quickly & decisively

  2. Support DSIP to execute on strategy

    • Create and communicating strategy broadly

    • Linking & labeling activities to ensure DSIP employees can connect their efforts to the business outcomes achieved

    • Working with Product teams to create product go-to-market strategies

  3. Integrate Data, Security, Identity & Cardinal teams into 1 functioning organization

    • Identify synergies, efficiencies and opportunities to drive growth in product revenue

    • Lead all “All Staff” activities & communications

    • Liaise with Product Delivery team on Cardinal Visa integration

  4. Find opportunities to create and automate repeatable analyses or build self-service tools for business users

  5. Ensure project delivery within timelines and meet critical business needs

  6. Work on cross functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

  7. Support the promotion of big data innovations and education of how our organizations data can support consumers, economies… throughout the Visa organization

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 15-18 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or PhD)
  • You have 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment navigating ambiguity successfully.

  • Problem solver that can connect consistently connect dots across multiple workstreams

  • Consistently challenge status quo to ensure overall better outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions, balancing analysis with decisiveness

  • Demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, strong attention to details and excellent business writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Has experience building, leading, and developing high performing team members; creates a climate that inspires development and in which risk taking in pursuit of learning is valued

Work Hours:

  • Incumbent must make themselves available to support time zones from other regions on an as needed basis

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements: ​​​​​​

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
