Job Description

Position Summary 

Visa's Digital Product team is responsible for identifying new opportunities that exist within the mobile payment landscape, creating strategies that define Visa's participation in those opportunities, and delivering the capabilities required to capture those opportunities. The proliferation of digital wallet are making the digital wallet space more fragmented in Latin America. The objective for this summer internship position will be to Research the wallet landscape in LAC to update and identify wallet providers that could potentially issue a Visa payment credential and open the closed-loop wallet environment where today the majority represent a Visa competitor. The objective is distinguish which solutions offering this wallet can become a future partner for Visa. The purpose of the research will be primary focus on refreshing the Digital wallet Landscape in LAC and identify which one could potentially issue a Visa payment credential or partner with any of the Visa Capabilities to evolve the product an offer a better and more secure Payment experience.

Responsibilities 
Deep understanding about Wallet research executed in the region especially “ Digital Wallet in Latin America by AMI published in 2017

Executed research on new available Wallet in the region, Capabilities, geographies where are live, Payment instrument behind, adoption, expansion to other geographies, government regulation and support.

Evaluated the wallet landscape as whole with regard to value proposition, competitive landscape, and opportunities and threats to Visa.

Investigation and review details of electronic payment acceptance enabler and value-added tools for merchants and provide advice in how to evolve into Current Visa digital capabilities.

Research must include wallets details about cluster for under banking, banking or merchant segments as well as type of population and social class.

Understand and support Visa Token Service (VTS) road map for future wallets or solution provider partners on identifying possible target on current Wallet or solution in the region.

Work in conjunction with regional staff about supporting VTS client integrations and other Digital Products to make evolution for current wallets  

Recommend VTS capabilities to closed loop wallets in LAC to accelerate adoption in Wallet evolving to Visa capabilities.


 

Qualifications

Student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree on Business, Engineering or  Science

Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences, in a sales-oriented manner 

Ability to work across multiple teams stationed in different time zones in an organization 

Ability to manage customer expectations 

A technically minded candidate with consulting experience / research experience in a sales engineering or systems integration or product marketing.

Independent decision making required on daily basis with minimal oversight from senior members of staff 

Complex and varied workload, required to support multiple ongoing implementations and sales processes 

Advanced planning, organizational and problem solving skills 

Advanced written and verbal communication skills, and excellent  interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines 

Spanish communication is required

Additional Information

Work hours :40 h per week

Deliverables :the result of the research must provide a report with all the information found and the recommendation and the plan / Road map to execute plan to evolve to Visa Ready Wallet , and include a recommendation on how the migration of the wallet will increase Visa Business.
