Real-time payments (RTP) is a new strategic initiative at Visa, focused on building the next generation payment network connecting, individuals and businesses with banks, fin-tech players, countries and regions with the flexibility to use a variety of payment instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Help engineers develop their careers, assigning them to projects tailored to their skill levels, long-term skill development, personalities, and work styles
• Actively participate in in design, coding and code reviews
• Provide management, technical leadership and mentoring of team members.
• Release planning and management of release deployment to production.
• Responsible for the team’s agile end-to-end development process within the construct of DevOps practices and methodology.
• Responsible for managing and the timely delivery of project sizing requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise application development
• Solid CS fundamentals and good grasp of DS and Algorithms
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming language
• Must like and be comfortable with being hands on
• Self-motivated and drive for excellence
• Must have architecture/design experience of distributed systems
• Must have a good base in building scalable, reliable and highly performant systems
• Demonstrated ability to manage highly skilled technology teams.
• Process oriented and able to work independently with very minimal supervision.
• Experience of working in Java and Spring is a plus.
• Financial services and/or payments processing industry experience is a plus.
• Experience in agile methodology is preferred.
