Job Description

The Visa Global Tax team comprises a diverse group of over 30 highly-skilled professionals located in Foster City, Miami, London, Dubai, Toronto, Singapore, and enjoys substantial visibility and support from Visa’s senior management. 

With continuous growth of Visa’s business and after the implementation of the U.S. tax reform in December 2017, our international team is looking for a Tax Manager to support and manage the expanded international reporting and compliance responsibilities.

Essential Functions

  • You will be responsible for quarterly forecast and provision calculations for all US international tax related items, including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, subpart F, and FTCs
  • You will provide international input for quarterly US estimated tax payments
  • You will be responsible for calculations of all US tax return components related to international tax, such as:
    • Schedule M items
    • Tested income and losses
    • Earnings and profits
    • PFIC
    • Forms
    • Disclosures
    • Foreign tax credits
    • All foreign subsidiaries and branches tax attributes
  • You will research tax issues and support ad hoc special projects as needed
  • You will support technology and process improvement initiatives to transform the US international income tax compliance process

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of international corporate tax compliance experience with a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent or at least 3 years of international corporate tax compliance experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • 7-8 years of international corporate tax compliance experience and a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent or 6 years of international corporate tax compliance experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA).
  • CPA certification or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience with public accounting firm serving multinational clients or in the corporate tax department of a multinational corporation
  • Strong knowledge of US international tax and exposure to non-US tax systems, including withholding taxes

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have 7-8 years of international corporate tax compliance experience and a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent or 6 years of international corporate tax compliance experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA).
  •  CPA certification or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience with public accounting firm serving multinational clients or in the corporate tax department of a multinational corporation
  • Graduate degree in taxation a strong plus
  • You have strong knowledge of US international tax and exposure to non-US tax systems, including withholding taxes
  • Ability to research US and non-US technical tax rules
  • You are proficient in US GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740, APB 23 and FIN48)
  • You have strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, self-starter work ethic, and attention to details
  • You are effective in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a deadline driven, dynamic environment
  • You are a team player, and work well with internal and external partners
  • You are proficient with :Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
