Job Description

Our Client Engagement function is responsible for driving sales and development across the business in our European markets. By building deep partnerships with our clients, opening up access and offering creative solutions, we are at the forefront of protecting and growing Visas brand and market share.

So what do we expect of you, day to day? 

  • You will build and develop strong relationships with our partners outside of Visa, and will be responsible for working with clients to identify new and ongoing requirements, and introduce new products or services. 

  • You will become a subject expert matter of the payment card industry for SE Cluster with special focus on Spanish and Portuguese market

     (i.e. how the market operates, different parties) and will understand the impact of your specialty area on assigned member business.

  • You will contribute to the annual business and account plans for clients, liaising with the Key Account Manager in relation to the product or portfolio. 

  • You will collaborate and engage with colleagues across Visa, endeavouring to break down silos and ensure the business is appropriately involved and informed about member issues, delivering solutions as one team. 

  • You’ll develop excellent knowledge of Visa products and services.

  • You will provide member and vendor support resolving specification and implementation related questions and issues

  • You will provide hands on troubleshooting and analysis of product issues relating to processing standards of the market.

  • Everyone is a leader at Visa as such you will communicate your expertise and specialist knowledge to less experienced members of the team, acting in a mentorship capacity where appropriate.

For this role the key skills required are...

  • Significant experience in payment card industry for the SE cluster with special focus on Spanish and Portuguese market

  • Strong understanding of Processing and Market Landscape

  • Project management experience in a digital and technology-driven environment. Must have consulting background able to articulate client needs and make effective selling presentations

  • Ability to adapt to a fast – changing environment and identifying new business opportunities with Fintech, enabling 360 selling process including not only Processing but Product and Visa Value added services

  • Commercial understanding and the aptitude to identify opportunities and proactively propose solution. Business cases propositions.

  • Extensive experience and proven success within a targeted complex sales role.

  • Ability to assess situations and solve problems through sound reasoning and structured thinking

  • Ability to write clear product and processing  selling documentation.

  • Experience of liaising with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business, as well as of building and maintaining relationships with external partners.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential. Portuguese will be considered as additional value. 

  • Educated to degree level or hold equivalent professional experience.
