Job Description

The role is responsible for supporting the Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) team for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in client (external and internal) engagements to ensure business plans are implemented, and goals are met.

This is a true opportunity to help bridge the gap between data, insights and action by conducting research, interpretation and providing actual business recommendations.

Specific responsibilities include:

Drive and execute VCA strategy for the Dominican Republic, proactively capitalizing on local opportunities, ensuring the alignment with the country strategy.

  • Engage with clients and Visa client leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with clients
  • Lead consulting initiatives and contribute to closing engagement by identifying potential opportunities with clients
  • Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
  • Produce insights and analyses to improve client performance, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the payment P&L

Incumbents applying for the role should be motivated, analytic individuals who will deliver strategic thought leadership, problem diagnostics and high impact solutions to support the client’s growth and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics)
  • Masters degree preferred
  • +6 years of relevant experience (banking, financial services or management consulting)
  • Great interpersonal skills - team player.
  • Excellent business planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations, including products & services, business systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, R, Python, SPSS)
  • Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
