Job Description

What we expect of you, day to day..

  • You will contribute to the annual business/account plans, execution for the assigned accounts, as to what actions will be required for their product/portfolio and take a lead in business development under the guidance and coordination of the Country Manager.
  • You will be supporting the Greece Country Manager in market development activities and initiatives to further Visa’s objectives and targets in the market, including supporting the local multi-member Client forum operations (i.e. Client Council, Working Groups).
  • You will ensure the retention and growth of Visa’s business in the market and proactively develop incremental business streams.
  • You will be working alongside clients and the Visa teams in the market, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building quality, deepening relationships and innovation, providing excellent customer service.
  • Everyone is a leader at Visa, and you will be building on team’s analytical skills and business knowledge, sharing your subject matter expertise and acting in a mentorship capacity where appropriate.
  • You will monitor and analyse the performance of the market, suggesting ways to develop existing business and bring in new business, improve performance and grow volume, transactions and revenues.
  • You will be identifying client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the market’s business objectives and priorities.
  • You will engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as Marketing, Products, Merchant Solutions and Acquiring, Innovation, Operations and Consulting are appropriately involved and informed about client opportunities and issues, endeavouring to break down silos and work together as “One Visa”.
  • You will develop excellent knowledge of Visa products and services and understand the impact of your specialty area on client business.

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • Education to degree or equivalent professional level or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong commercial acumen coupled with comprehensive financial and business analytical skills
  • A passion for innovation and technology, and in particular fintech and payments
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the payments business and experience in the financial services
  • Understanding the value of client engagement, being sales-focused and pragmatic with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively identify and  propose solutions
  • Ability to work against set deadlines, experience with P&L’s
  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge of Visa Europe and its products and services would be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as member of a team, communicate clearly with both colleagues and clients, be able to work, lead and motivate within a matrix organization
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
  • Be a self-motivated employee who can work alone and in a team
  • Result oriented team player, client focused and obsessed with value
  • Capacity to become a respected and valued partner at multiple levels within the Client
  • Fluency in both Greek and English is critical
