Visa seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Clearing and Settlement Test Engineering team, a part of the Network Processing team based in Bengaluru, KA, India. We are in need of a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer whose passionate about using modern software engineering and testing principles to deliver robust applications to our global users.

The successful candidate will support Test Engineering efforts for the Clearing and Settlement (CAS) system, one of Visa's largest revenue generating platform and work with other peer test engineering organizations to ensure seamless code releases.

Essential Functions:

• Design and develop test plans and functional test cases from business requirements and conceptual documents
• Participate in Test design/plan review sessions with peers and other stakeholders
• Build test automation framework to support CAS System
• Build test tools to improve quality and performance
• Execute test cases, analyze and report test results to project team
• Setup, configure, and maintain test environments
• Provide estimates on scope and scale of effort required to test changes
• Ensure delivery of a high quality product, meeting all requirements within the scheduled time frame
• Collaborate closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any application issues.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Passion for high quality software design and engineering
• Hands on experience with one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, C#, C/C++, or Go.
• Strong Unix/Windows skills, proficient with at least one shell and one high-level scripting language (bash, Python, Ruby).
• Experience with one or more testing frameworks within Agile/DevOPs, CI using BDD.
• Tools/frameworks: Hands on experience with Selenium, Robot, TestNG, Cucumber, Junit or Nunit, Jenkins, Git, or other source control and CI tools.
• Experience building and testing applications, RESTful services on a modern technology stack.
• Expertize in building tools and utilities using open stack to accelerate test automation, to resolve challenges/bottle necks, to further the shift left approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication ability
• Ability to work well within a globally distributed team, in a high performance organization.

Work Hours This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
