What’s it all about?
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
The European Consulting Practice applies deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as marketing, strategic growth, profitability, digital payments and risk.
The role Sr. consultant will undertake consulting engagements for our clients mainly in Bulgaria, Greece and Cyprus and the larger Southeastern European territory
Potential projects could include portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product and marketing strategies, development of industry landscape evaluations and best practices, and optimizing client customer experience and supporting processes.
Working with the Consulting Lead and collaborating with other team members in VCA and Visa Southeastern Europe, the consultant will draw on their deep domain knowledge and expertise to provide recommendations to clients, work that will enable enduring, strategic relationships with our clients.
What we expect of you, day to day:
Understand our clients’ business objectives, needs, plans etc together with the Southeastern European Account Management Team. Identify opportunities and improvements to grow the business of our clients
Develop and propose appropriate project approaches and business solutions to the clients. Lead and manage the delivery of consultancy engagements to clients (as assigned)
Lead and deliver projects through either self, other internal or external staff as appropriate. Manage the delivery of analytics solutions and data insights together with our Data Science team. Manage project costs to agreed budgets and timeframes and ensure high standard of delivery
Provide Thought Leadership knowledge and projects regarding the future of payment and retail banking to our clients and partners
Leverage Visa’s innovation, product and data capabilities to further grow our clients’ business by working together with the sales and product teams as well as the Visa Innovation and Data Sciences team. Build and retain Visa Consulting relationships to our key clients
Support Visa Consulting and Analytics practice development by developing skills, tools and innovative methodologies on personal and team level
What we're after..
Deep experience in retail banking and/or payment card industry and/or merchant retail business
Extensive experience in management consulting; with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies. Project experience in a digital and technology-driven environment.
High intellectual capability evidenced by strong analytical skills. Comprehensive knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools and the use of data insights for business growth in a digital and technology-driven environment
Excellent client relationship management skills (also on senior executive level and across all levels of an organisation). Strong sales orientation, experience selling major projects/ideas to senior management
Excellent spoken and written command of English in addition to Bulgarian and/or Greek. Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to comprehend and convey complex technical information
High levels of integrity and business ethics
Willingness to travel throughout the covered markets as needed and a willingness to maintain professional development.
