Job Description

What's it all about?

This role is part of the Key Account / Regional Sales function and thus responsible for driving sales and development across the business in Central Europe. By building deep partnerships with our customers (be it issuers, merchants or other partners) and developing new clients, we jointly achieve business objectives. You want to make a difference: Join us to leverage Visa's fantastic brand, technology, services and team to deliver best results.

What we expect of you, day to day.
 

  • Lead the development of Visa’s cross-border business and New Segments initiatives in Central Europe Region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands) to grow international payments and the business of our bank, merchant and acquiring clients

  • Be accountable for reaching XB targets by identifying new opportunities and risks, developing and executing plans to pursue these opportunities and pre-empt risks

  • Adapt the Global and European cross-border payments strategy and implement in the Region (including in Travel, eCommerce, and Business to Business payments)

  • Act as a representative of the Region with Visa’s European and Global Cross-Border teams

  • Partnering with Account Executives, work with banks, merchants and acquirers to understand their needs, and implement the right activities and solutions that will grow cross-border and New Segments card expenditure for both retail and commercial cards

  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Merchants and Acquirers, FinTech, Product, Marketing, VBS) to execute projects and leverage Visa resources

 

Qualifications

For this role the key skills required are...

  • Experience in and a passion and curiosity for financial services, in particular payments
  • Sales / Business Development / Relationship Management experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Customer focus including the customer´s customer
  • Commercial understanding and the ability to identify opportunities and proactively propose solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business, as well as of building and maintaining relationships with external partners.
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in German and English
