Job Description

The ideal candidate will lead the Product Operations for the Buy Now Pay Later product initiatives. You will be able to solve business problems, identify opportunities and create roadmaps for our internal and external partners that will result in payment volume and revenue growth. You bring strong analytical skills, business processes and operations rigor. You will be able to answer business process questions, solve business challenges, create sales and account strategy and desires to further their payments experience.  Use data to position, shape and capitalize on emerging customer and market needs, closely collaborate with business leaders to understand the strategic initiatives of the business work across the stakeholders to align strategic goals to actionable roadmaps, and  create client facing materials that identify opportunities, solutions and actions to drive payment volume. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for operational readiness and client adoption of new products and capabilities
  • Create readiness plans and manage execution of operating strategies with responsible functional partners in Client Services, Treasury, Legal and Compliance, Risk, and Technology to ensure launch success of Visa Direct roadmap
  • Identify business processes that need to be established to support the product, work with the respective cross functional teams to design and establish the processes to manage the health of the product and success measures.
  • Responsible for preparation of material for internal business reviews, client facing meetings and finance reviews
  • Identify opportunities to increase volumes across global markets and increase operational efficiencies and productivity
  • Create change impact assessments that assess operational and client impact from ongoing product releases
  • Project manage large-scale and complex projects, coordinating with stakeholders across the globe and different time zones

·       Problem solve with stakeholders on operating challenges by distilling complex problems into root causes and actionable next steps  

  • Manage the product ecosystem backlog to ensure that we maintain and track deliverables while focusing on critical priorities with the highest impact for Visa Direct
  • Report progress on deliverables on weekly/monthly basis and present top challenges and proposed solutions to Visa Direct leadership in a concise and engaging manner
  • Create business cases and analyses that influence strategic direction leveraging various data sources to form comprehensive data-driven insights
  • Perform retrospectives from product/client launches and document best practices and learnings to be used for future launches
  • Partner with team members in the preparation and delivery of materials, reports and analysis for client facing presentations.  Analyze data and package for client delivery creating an executable action plan tailored to our specific client’s business
  • Support the product team by utilizing data analytics in support of growing business and deepening relationships. 
  • Extensive collaboration and teamwork with key internal Visa partners including to execute sales plans and strategies.
  • Review and understand customer service, and integration processes and work with the teams to establish the support structure for country launches
  • Establish processes pertaining to Visa rules for the product, and work with rules, and legal teams to publish the rules for the product area as necessary
  • Build expertise in Playbook/Salesforce.com and be the custodian of reporting analysis and pipeline management

Qualifications

Basic

  • 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree; 10+ years of work experience with Masters/MBA/JD; or a minimum of 8 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 5+ years of consulting or product strategy experience, or tech investment background

Preferred

  • Position requires a minimum of 8+ years business experience with related Visa experience, sales or analytics experience in the payments industry
  • Exceptional ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross-functional relationships
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours

  • This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours

  • This role at times requires off-hours responsiveness (for example when the executive is in a different time zone)

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work up to 20% of the time

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
