Job Description

Visa is looking for an accomplished leader for Product Solutions and Product Strategy in the Buyer and Seller Solutions organization focused on Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) initiatives with a passion for innovating and shaping the next generation of payment products. This leader will be responsible for shaping the vision/strategy, driving roadmap planning, and executing on the next big bets in alternative lending solutions that matter most for customers. In this role you will also be responsible to determine desirability, feasibility, and viability of the current and new sets of innovative use cases, shaping the future of payments.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and inspire a team of high performing product solutions for our partners and define product strategy
  • Shape the strategy of lending solutions that support payment enablement, inform the product direction and opportunity both internally and externally, and execute through solution definition.
  • Prioritize key strategic initiatives based on impact backed by data.
  • Lead deep dive workshops with clients on solution paths to launch in markets
  • Work closely with regional teams to understand the trends and competition. Define key benefits, market differentiation, customer value, and the solution positioning in order to differentiate product offering that meet consumer needs
  • Analyze performance with feature launches with partners, develop and present insights, and inform future strategy with data insights
  • Anticipate and proactively solve product challenges that evaluate use of existing assets and capabilities through a deep understanding of business and product dynamics
  • Work closely with Innovation center on co-creation and workshops with client to validate and iterate on bringing solutions to life
  • Partner with leadership and regional teams to drive communication and execution on shared vision
  • Be a thought leader for the payments ecosystem as well as regulators to represent and educate benefits to consumers
  • Evaluate build, buy, partner opportunities to bring solutions to life and have P&L impact

Qualifications

BASIC Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree; 10+ years of work experience with Masters/MBA/JD; or a minimum of 8 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 5+ years of consulting or product strategy experience, or tech investment background

PREFERRED Qualifications: 

  • Deep understanding of payment products with a consumer product mindset and a high bar for user experience
  • High degree of comfort with C-level communications and problem solving
  • Proven leadership capabilities including strong thought leadership, effective decision making, and ability to drive result for business benefits
  • Experienced to develop talent from within and recruit talent that can inject new perspectives and experiences
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a strong focus on client success. Comfortable making decisions with limited data
  • Technical depth to breakdown technical complexity and drive problems to conclusion with Product Management team as well as clients
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate. Demonstrated passion for driving payments innovation
  • Tenacity and ability to build from scratch and comfortable with ambiguity

Work Hours

  • This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours

  • This role at times requires off-hours responsiveness (for example when the executive is in a different time zone)

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work up to 20% of the time

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
