Job Description

We are looking for a technically savvy individual with a product mindset to help us continue to grow and launch new features and services. Technical Product Analyst is a hands-on role where you will have to analyze high level business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for our engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with business unit product managers, engineering, architects, user experience, and global cross-functional counterparts to develop requirements that enable high quality products that delight our merchants, consumers, and developers.

You will be part of the Technical Product Management organization which will enable Visa and its subsidiaries such as Cybersource, Authorize.Net, Verify as well its strategic partners to rapidly build, iterate and refine payment experiences across all channels such as web and mobile.

Essential Functions: 

  • Work with business product managers to understand the high-level business requirements

  • Work with architects and engineers to come up solutions addressing business needs

  • Analyze technical specifications from external partners and create technical specifications for engineering team

  • Be hands-on with describing business rules as technical artifacts using internal tools

  • Be the product owner for the scrum teams driving project execution

  • Maintain the metrics for the product/ capabilities

  • Highly execution focused by working in conjunction with various counterparts

  • Participate in daily scrum meetings

  • Be the primary liaison between other business units, BU product managers, engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless integration of new and existing feature sets

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills through prior projects
  • Prior experience as a business analyst or system analyst is a huge plus
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment and with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, Master’s Degree is a plus
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate business opportunities and customer problems
  • Strong desire and aptitude to be very hands-on with data and reporting
  • Knowledge in Swagger, API interfaces and Testing methodologies are plus

Additional Information

Work Hours This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
