Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Technology Leader who is passionate about collaborating with business in solving challenging business  problems. You will be a key driver in the effort to design, build, and deliver capabilities that will help realize the strategic vision for AI/ML Ops, profile management & feature engineering.

The right candidate is a high impact leader with the ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with business and technology partners and be able to think broadly about Visa’s business and drive solutions that will enhance the safety and integrity of Visa’s payment ecosystem. You possess a strong technology background with demonstrated experience in leading technology teams in delivery of complex technology solutions. You have extensive experience in leading Agile development teams in building secure, scalable and reliable applications in a continuous integration development model. You will be influential in mentoring and growing your team both technically and professionally. 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Business owners, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and others) in the creation of solutions for complex business problems. 

  • Develop the technology roadmap to ensure alignment with business and enterprise strategies. 

  • Work with multiple cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to deliver high quality products 

  • Lead the team to design and deliver highly available, secure, scalable high performing solutions. 

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration in the team. 

  • Ensure end-to-end verification of new solutions to ensure they meet and exceed business expectations. 

  • Identify proper service metrics and measurements for ensuring performance against Service Level Agreements 

  • Apply creative thinking/approach to determine solutions that further Business Goals and align with Technology Strategies 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 

  • 10+ years’ experience with software design and development building scalable, robust, and high-performance applications and services.

  • Experience leading multidimensional project teams in delivery of complex technology solutions 

  • Experience with creating data driven business solutions and solving data problems using a wide variety of technologies such as Elastic, Hadoop, Spark, Redis. 

  • Experience with Agile and Test Driven Development methodology 

  • Expertise in building Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CICD) utilizing technologies such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, 

  • Experience in developing service based solutions 

  • Experience with creating highly scalable, highly available systems. 

  • Prior knowledge of Payments and Machine Learning applications desirable. 

  • Extensive experience with coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever changing environment..  

  • Strong at technical goal setting for a project with actionable success metrics. Experience with measuring a service from user experience perspective, setting and tracking to SLAs and KPIs  

  • Ability to represent technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels internally and externally to support organizational plans  

  • Ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs  

Additional Information

Work Hours 
This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements 
This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements 
This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
