Job Description

Visa Europe is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to join the Employee Relations Centre of Expertise.  This role will provide critical support to the Employee Relations team, across HR and to the business.  We are looking for someone with experience working in and a passion for HR who has proven ER specialist expertise as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position will report to the Head of Employee Relations and will be based in Paddington, London.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Case management

    • Specialist advisory support to HR and the business on the appropriate handling of cases (performance, capability, absence, grievances, redundancies, secondments, settlement agreements);

    • Handling of personal case load, as required;

    • Finalizing and processing settlement agreements and ensuring all off boarding steps are undertaken for specific ER cases;

    • Managing termination submissions to payroll;

    • Maintenance of the case management system (Navex), working with the ER and HR teams to ensure it is accurate and up to date;

    • Case reporting and analytics;

    • Coordination and updating of information on terminations for Finance and Global ER tracking;

    • Support with minute taking, as required.

  • Organisational change

    • Coordination and administrative support for organisational change initiatives, including information and consultation processes;

    • Support to the ER team with the development of ER toolkits (e.g. standard letters, communications and guidance materials).

  • ER reporting and analytics

    • In addition to case reporting, broader responsibility for coordination and development of all other ER related reporting to provide critical information and insights to the business.

  • Employment Contracts & Policy development

    • Specialist advisory support to HR and the business on policy interpretation;

    • Support on policy development initiatives and regular updates to the Employee Handbooks;

    • Development and upkeep of all ER-related standard letter templates;

    • Coordination of contract template updates and governance (e.g. version control) 

  • HR Compliance

    • Support with identifying and documenting HR compliance risk and controls;

    • Coordination support and oversight of Audit activities across HR.

       

  • ER team support

    • General coordination and administrative support to the ER team.

 

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Proven ability to display a high level of confidentiality and integrity;

  • Team player with a customer mindset and interpersonal skills;

  • An excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing;

  • Proven organisational, administrative, coordination skills with a keen eye for detail;

  • Employee Relations experience including case management and organisational change;

  • A self-starter who can work independently under own initiative;

  • Ability to maintain, extract, collate and present data in a professional, accurate and meaningful way;

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel + case management system experience an advantage;

  • Interest in and passion for HR and ER;

  • Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent.
