Job Description

This is a dynamic role managing Prepaid and Debit solutions within the Buyer & Seller Solutions team in Europe.  The Buyer & Seller solutions team drives consumer product innovation and development in collaboration with market and global product teams.  The role will be responsible for supporting the payment growth strategy for prepaid and debit, developing and implementing product solutions and strategies to ensure products and solutions are fit for purpose now and in the future. 

The role will contribute to the product strategies, plans, product platform customization & digitization as deemed critical by the business and markets.

Crucial to the role is the identification and development of product growth strategies designed to open-up new payment flows, accelerate digital issuance, design new product constructs and expand issuance via strategic partners and enablers.

In addition, this position facilitates the development of client facing materials (presentations, marketing collateral and thought leadership), develops and provides product performance updates to key internal stakeholders and facilitates the delivery of consumer centric research and data.

Overall product support and management is a key responsibility of this role, including maintaining core product infrastructure, identifying process and feature improvements, using Visa and external insights to analyze trends and opportunities as well as growth opportunities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a broad perspective and acumen of the payments industry coupled with experience in developing and executing product strategy. In addition, the candidate should have a good understanding of the regulatory and market dynamics influencing the prepaid/debit payments and be adept at inspiring creative thought, being solution oriented and able to translate strategy into tangible initiatives.  Innovation and vision are also critical aspects for this role and are key in driving continued leadership and growth in payments through prepaid and debit core buyer solutions.

  • Mid-level experience in financial or transaction services, with expertise in card industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • In-depth understanding of the electronic payments marketplace, regulatory environment and payment ecosystem / landscape
  • Outstanding communication and cross-functional leadership skills, strategic and analytical thinker; demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly and put ideas into action
  • Results-oriented, dynamic individual who consistently challenges the status quo
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, proactiveness and ownership of remit
  • Ability to work in a fluid, creative and innovative environment
  • Able to build credibility, influence and negotiate at highest levels within core segment organizations
