Job Description

This role involves working with working with the Product Manager to understand the business problems we are solving for our clients, and translate these into technical requirements that you will work with the development teams to solve.

Cybersource standardises payment specifications across multiple acquiring banks, facilitating billions of payments annually. This role will require you do develop an in depth understanding of these evolving payment specifications, and to simplify them into a common Cybersource standard payments API. You will develop relationships with technical counterparts on the acquirers we work with.

We develop products in an agile manner, and you will be responsible for generating feedback from stakeholders, communicating with the product development team, running backlog grooming sessions and attending stand-ups. You will champion the product and the product team to internal and external stakeholders.

Specifically, you will:

• Help to define product requirements, including the articulation of very clear, thorough and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets

•Collaborate with engineering teams to build secure, reliable and scalable payment processing platforms

•Work very closely with development and QA organizations to ensure technical specifications and the final product meet business requirements

•Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with long-term vision in mind and can be launched globally with minimal tweaks

•Partner with business operations and analytics teams to build appropriate monitoring capabilities and metrics to monitor the health of the platform and facilitate data driven decision making


  • Strong technical skills with experience implementing APIs
  • Able to concentrate on the technical detail, but also explain the bigger picture
  • Champion in cross-cultural communications
  • Experience implementing process improvements
  • Prior knowledge of ecommerce, payments and/or high-volume high-availability systems
