Job Description

This is a hands-on position that includes using creative, human-centered design to develop motion graphics, reusable graphic design elements, video production, audio production and editing.

A successful candidate will be an effective communicator that can balance multiple projects from beginning to end, under tight and evolving deadlines.  Primary responsibilities include: 

 

  • Overseeing creative direction on digital based learning experience projects to create strong visual experiences
  • Collaborating with instructional designers and external designers (third-party vendors) to raise the bar with each project
  • Directing and managing video projects from start to finish 
  • Acting as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process
  • Mentoring / coaching other team members related to multi-media topics
  • Video concept development, script writing, video shooting and editing
  • Systems / tool evaluation (Industry trends and future planning)
  • Designing illustrations, iconography, infographics and instructional graphics
  • Brand / Guidelines / Styling: Writing and updating
     

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant work experience or demonstrable multimedia portfolio of skills including: Production and editing of motion graphics, graphic design, vector-based video, podcasts, and high quality interactive and engaging learning experiences 
  • Strong skills in the full Adobe Creative Suite 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 5-8 years multi  media design experience  
  • Experience in simplifying complex content into easy-to-understand visuals using concepts like storytelling
  • Results driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • User experience design and human-centered design theory 
  • Instructional design experience  
  • Knowledge and experience in corporate design and development 
  • Experince with tools:   Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Xd, etc.)
  • You are proficient with :  Microsoft Suite
     

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds

Travel Requirements:

The incumbent may be required to travel, up to 10%
