Job Description

Cybersource’s Card Present unit operates a mobile lab to test all software changes against real hardware before release. You will be responsible for all operations of this mobile lab. 

You will be part of a cross-functional platform team within Cybersource that is in charge of providing a sound and high-quality technical foundation for all other mobile-focused feature teams. You will take a key role in defining and implementing our vision for next iterations of our mobile lab, a self-contained environment that is home to our mobile build and test suites. It includes various CI servers, mobile phones and card terminals, as well as self-developed robots that push automated testing of physical hardware to new limits. 

Essential Functions:

  • You will drive the creation of a technical vision for the mobile lab and share your technical expertise in and outside of your team. 

  • You will maintain and extend our physical machine setup which hosts the continuous integration (CI) system, with a special focus on the various software running on it. 

  • You will ensure the performance of the CI system, by proactively monitoring and addressing issues together with the team. 

  • You will drive the development of new and existing robot/automation hardware, that uses a wide range of microcontrollers (e.g. Teensy, Arduino, RaspberryPi) and electronics (e.g. steppers, servos). 

  • You maintain our range of automated test stations, including smartphones, credit card terminals and hybrid solutions. 

  • You will ensure that the mobile lab is compliant with VISA security standards 

  • You will maintain and extend the lab’s own network infrastructure that includes wired and wireless connections, as well as different VPN  options. 

  • Be a great team player, with the ability to work autonomously. 

  • Challenging the status quo and find ways to improve on all aspects of the lab and team. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD 

  • You know how to setup and maintain a wider range of workstations (Mac, Linux, Window), ideally in an automated fashion 

  • You have solid experience with microcontrollers and electronics 

  • You have worked with CI systems before 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 +years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD 

  • You know how to setup and maintain a wider range of workstations (Mac, Linux, Window), ideally in an automated fashion 

  • You have solid experience with microcontrollers, electronics and PCB design 

  • You are able to maintain a CI system (pref. Jenkins) and provide it as a service to wider development community 

  • You are ablet to setup and maintain network equipment and environments using Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti Unifi.
