Job Description

What’s it all about?

Client Incentives are an integral and rapidly growing part of Visa’s Global strategy, and represent commitments by Clients and Visa to develop their mutual business. This role sits within the CIO team in Controllership, Finance, and is to support client incentive accounting, payment calculations and MI reporting.

What we expect of you, day to day.

Key Accountabilities:

·        Manages the Payments inbox and ensures prioritisation of key client contracts

·        Liaises with the Senior Managers on timing of sign off and approvals of all payments

·        Takes highly complex client incentive contracts and determines company liabilities across their duration

·        Builds the terms of client incentive agreements, particularly cash contracts into the ORMB system,

·        Builds and maintains relationships with Client Incentives Front Office, Contract Management and Account Executives as is necessary

·        Ensures liabilities are represented in financial and management accounts as part of the month/quarter end process; for both US GAAP and IFRS books

·        Provides support during internal and external audit in relation to payment process and accounting thereof

·        Running/Testing reports for financial analysis and planning from the ORMB associated Micro Strategy tool.

·        Assist the analysts with modelling of less complex “mini models” – Excel financial models of client incentive contract financial obligation and commitment

·        Undertakes metric reporting on deal activity within the team

·        Supports Senior Managers in month end close of Client Incentive Operations by performing payment reconciliations and preparing necessary journal entries for adjustments

·        Manage tight deadlines & feed into overall team priorities to ensure Europe meets the global deadlines

·        Any other adhoc requests as considered necessar

Qualifications

What we are after…

·        Experience of working with complex commercial contracts

·        Relevant financial accounting experience (preferred) - support provided for ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification 

·        Experience of data analysis and modelling

·        Educated to degree level

·        High level of computer literacy including experience of working with Microsoft Excel and databases

·        Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Accuracy and attention to detail

·        Strong communication skills

·        Self-motivated and a team player

·        Willingness to work under pressure / Project deadlines

·        Flexible, adaptable approach – comfortable with changing workload and multi-tasking

·        Experience of Oracle – ORMB preferable, though not essentia
