What’s it all about?

The Transformation & Strategy team work across all business areas including; Operations, Legal & Compliance, IT development, Banking Network, Finance and Sales.  This role will be responsible for creating and managing a portfolio in alignment with strategic objectives. This may include:

• Creating and maintaining a Visa Payments Limited’s portfolio vision and roadmap
• Establishing and managing an end-to-end portfolio management process
• Ensuring the portfolio is prioritised and aligns with overall strategic direction 
• Leading key portfolio management events (including strategic portfolio review and portfolio sync)
• Embedding a continuous improvement mindset for portfolio management and delivery
• Providing leadership, framework and tools to enable effective portfolio management and delivery

What we expect of you, day to day.

This role will report to the VP, VPL Transformation & Strategy and shall:

• Establish and manage a portfolio strategy, vision and roadmap in alignment with broader strategic objectives.
• Communicate the portfolio roadmap to multiple stakeholders to ensure all impacted stakeholders understand the roadmap.
• Manage the portfolio by creating and reporting on metrics to show progress of programs and projects against their planned goals and deliverables.
• Maintain and update a long-term view of the Portfolio roadmap, ensuring delivery of programs and projects drive forward strategic objectives.
• Produce insightful commentary on Portfolio health and quality for discussion at Portfolio Review meetings.
• Manage regular communications, ensuring stakeholders are informed of investment planning, changes, and execution progress across the portfolio.
• Adjust portfolio roadmap to ensure timelines reflect any delays or changes in priorities.
• Establish and manage lean budgets and governance practises.
• Review metrics to evaluate overall portfolio performance against strategic objectives, budget requirements and expected results.  
• Lead and establish regular cadence for portfolio management events.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience optimising portfolio vision and roadmap.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical resources.
• Ability to present portfolio to Visa Payments Limited and Visa stakeholders.
• Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to lead a team and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.
• Thrive on an environment that is fast-paced and dynamic to influence others and set direction.
• Excellent skills in drafting presentations, reports, communications, and other deliverables. Comfortable to present to C-suite and senior management.
• Hold relevant project management qualifications (e.g. Prince II, Agile).
