Job Description

We are looking for a self- starting Intern to facilitate more agile ways of working across Sales/Key Account Management. This is a summer internship and will take place over circa 10 weeks. 

The successful candidate will be supporting a Key Account Manager and his/her team who is driving sales and marketing activities to develop the business with dedicated customers (be it issuers, merchants or other partners) in Germany. The task involves managing independent projects and will require to work across different business areas including e.g. Product Management, Finance, Marketing.

The ideal candidate is self-directed, a structured thinker, highly organized and a creative problem solver. Candidates should be able to build networks and foster relationships across the Visa organization. Familiarity with the payment landscape and a keen interest for learning how to work with partners is a huge plus.

Tasks of an intern could include:

·       Responsible for day-to-day account management activities for your customers which are large and well-known banks, merchants and/or other business partners.

·       Build-up and further develop strong relationships with your customers at all levels

·       Research industry trends and understand client needs to develop enhanced solutions

·       Contribute to the annual business and account plans

·       Collaborate and engage with colleagues across Visa (Product-Management, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Consultant, etc.) to deliver solutions as one team

·       Support with the negotiation, execution and management of customer contract processes

·       Develop excellent knowledge of the payment technology space and insights into Visa products and services.

-          Current university student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree graduating in or after 2022.

-          Evidence of excellent communication skills – fluency in German and English language required.

-          Passion and curiosity for financial services, and in particular payments

-          Able to work as part of a diverse team and provide innovative ideas, including working with senior stakeholders

-          Comfortable working with data and insights

-          Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, as well as problem-solving skills, proactive and a drive for continuous learning

-          Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; you’re comfortable managing spreadsheets, devising formulas, and performing data analysis, while also building Executive presentations

-          Comfortable juggling multiple projects while quick to adapt to shifting priorities

-          You are innovative and curious, positive and proactive – always looking for ways to do things better

-          Demonstrate leadership, be a champion for change and be enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to our business across Central Europe
