Job Description

In Visa’s Digital and Developer Platform division, we work on technology products that have a big impact on the lives of businesses across the world.  We develop and expose APIs to allow creation of solutions that enable commerce across regions and markets.  We prioritize security and scalability, so that our partners can chase their dreams, while continuing to securely and reliably accept and process payments.

We are looking for technically savvy Product Management talent to help us continue to grow and launch new features and services. The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for aggressively expanding Visa's product portfolios by delivering new offerings that will be integrated into the core platform

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Technical experience in managing products built using Java technologies, API (SOAP & Rest), Web & Mobile Development.
  • Experience working in the Payments space. 
  • Hands on experience in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Proficiency working in an agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 12+ years of industry experience (with at least 7+ years of core Product Management experience) within a technology environment.
  • Track record of successfully delivering complex software systems or services. 
  • Experience working in the Payments space. 
  • Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding communications ability to a diverse customer audience, executives, product, and technology stakeholders.
  • Solid business acumen.
  • Fast learner on both technical and business side.
  • Is proactive and operates with a sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance big picture strategy with detailed, flawless execution.
  • Ability to stay organized while managing competing priorities.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
