Job Description
Visa’s Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis-Expense team is seeking a stellar Financial Analyst to drive the decision support, planning, analytics and reporting for Visa Inc Operating Expenses. This key position will work closely to support activities for the overall FP&A organization. Will also have exposure to the full Visa Inc P&L and work with External Reporting, Controllership, Treasury and Investor Relations.
Essential Functions
Support in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, financial reporting, reviews of key financial metrics
Work on creation of Visa Inc quarterly Board and Earnings materials
Provide analytical support for Visa Inc executive requested ad hoc analysis focused on expenses, sometimes on overall P&L
Support in Corporate Expense Annual Targets, Multi-year strategy planning
Prepare thoughtful, intelligent views related to financial considerations to potential business decisions
Participate in company-wide projects related to headcount and finance system improvements
- Serve as a data and analytics go-to person supporting Corporate FP&A expense team, including:
Leverage available systems, advanced Excel skills and analytical acumen to design, build and maintain various flexible reporting models that enable quality analysis for the team; strive for “push button” reporting to optimize team’s time spent on analysis vs. data retrieval and validation
Become a subject matter expert for the key financial reporting systems and business intelligence tools such as Hyperion, TM1 and Tableau
Ensure financial data accuracy, integrity and consistency; create and maintain job aid documentation for the end users to ensure continuity
Contribute to new reporting development and improve quality and presentation of existing reporting
Explore opportunities and make recommendation on the process and reporting improvements
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Economics, International Business or related field
3 years of professional work experience with Bachelor of Science degree or 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Superior technical, quantitative and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, and presentational skills and ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels.
Expert level Excel and advanced degree of proficiency with Hyperion/TM1 reporting systems preferred; knowledge of Tableau is a bonus
Good organizational, communication, and analytical skills, ability to work independently and be extremely flexible in shifting priorities and juggling multiple tasks
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Some background with continuous improvement (process/methodologies) and driving efficiencies / effectiveness is preferred
Ability to work "smarter not harder" and apply creative solutions to complex problems
Team player, ability to effectively interact with the other team members and managers effectively
