Job Description

The Solutions Manager will be a member of the Product and Strategy team which is responsible for shaping the organization’s corporate, product, digital, and interchange strategies, as well as the development and rollout of Visa’s products and platforms in the Canadian marketplace.  The team also works collaboratively with issuing and acquiring clients to support their product launches and innovations. The position will be based in Toronto, Canada and will report to the Senior Director, Product & Strategy.  The individual will oversee vendor and third-party management processes and ensure that all Corporate Policies are adhered.  The individual will act as a subject matter expert on consumer credit products within the Visa Canada Office.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct competitive analysis on Consumer Credit products including installments capabilities with BNPL players, loyalty both in Canada and Globally.

  • Pull together dashboard on performance of the Consumer Credit portfolio and pull out insights of what is working well vs. what the areas of opportunity are.

  • Lead specific workstreams on larger initiatives with support from Senior Director.

  • Manage multiple initiatives and prioritize and reprioritize regularly based on business needs

  • Work with cross functional organizations across Visa to launch projects along with working with external partners.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience or

  • More than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

  • Strong customer-oriented mind set with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation skills

  • Strong proficiency in excel and ability to garner insights from large data sets

  • Ability to manage complex projects and processes with multiple stakeholders, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of projects and business problems

  • Strong collaboration skills are required.  The candidate must be able to manage projects in collaboration with product owners who will be responsible for the core strategies.  The candidate must be adept at finding common ground among different points of view.

  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple disparate projects in parallel

  • Ability to work and collaborate with all levels of management to ensure Visa Canada’s success. 

  • Enjoys and environment of investigation, fact finding and validation

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively. Individual to oversee and understand the end-to-end process and predict outcome

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work up to 15% of the time (domestic and/or international).

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
