Job Description

As a scrum master, you will be part of our HR & Learning Enablement Technology team to help deliver the projects following Agile best practices. You will report to the engineering manager and work as an individual contributor participating in designing and development of software. This role will have collaboration with business partners, multiple Visa IT teams and third-party vendors. The portfolio includes SaaS and hosted packaged applications such as Workday, Cornerstone, ADP, SmartRecruiters, ServiceNow, and some homegrown solutions. The candidate will be able to manage the technical project development life-cycle - from ideation, through implementation to post-production support with the help of multiple scrum teams. Additionally, this position provides 8x5 application administration and user support services; working primarily with business users to provide technical support and coordinate timely and effective resolution to questions and issues associated with the HR & Learning Systems integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Run software projects in an agile environment, Estimating and planning, Orchestrate success with the solution team  
  • Remove blockers, Close open issues, Protect the team from external and internal distractions,
  • Enable a close cooperation across all roles and functions, A 360 awareness of the entire project, Report on risks and trends, Produce a weekly detailed tracking report for all the work on the project etc.
  • Define processes and, on an on-going basis, identify any process improvements needed to fulfill business functions.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues that arise during design and implementation, and in post-Production. Build partner-relationships. Participate in projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve methodology.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree
  • In-depth knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence
  • SCRUM Master certification
  • Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross-functional interactions.
  • Excellent time management, communication, collaboration and organization skills.
  • Experience with facilitating meetings (daily scrum - sprint planning - sprint demo and retrospective), conflict resolutions, coaching Agile practices, creating communication channel (team - Product owner - stakeholders) etc.
  • Experience in software development as a developer who has knowledge in various technologies and well aware of software development best practices

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds. 

Work Hours:

The incumbent will be expected to work during core business hours 

Travel Requirements:

The incumbent will be expected to travel <5%
