Job Description

What we expect of you, day to day

  • We are seeking a Senior Product Manager  to work directly with key issuing, acquiring and merchant clients in the Central Europe region (DACH + NL) in our Digital Product team servicing our clients with subject matter expertise in Visa’s suite of authentication and risk solutions.
  • You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a successful risk solutions sales pipeline, ensuring client-facing teams have the knowledge, collateral and support they need to rapidly grow product penetration and revenue.
  • Ideally you will be a confident German speaker with excellent English language skills. 
  • You will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, will be able to articulate the key trends in risk, authentication, and the emerging digital identity space.
  • You’ll also support from time to time client engagements in tokenisation use cases under the banner of Visa’s Digital Commerce framework
  • You will be organised and able to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously, across different functions within Visa and externally.
  • You will be required to work in a complex matrix environment across Visa and the assigned Visa client base, collaborating with and managing stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure delivery of joint priorities. As such, you must have excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels of business.
  • You will be an ambassador for Visa at tradeshows, workshops, and industry events.  You will become an SME on authentication, risk and identity products, and must be up to speed on regulations in Europe.
  • You will deliver on previous industry sales expertise in the payment card networks, fraud management, e-commerce payments security, identity, and payment-processing world.

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Significant experience in e-commerce, authentication, fraud, identity platforms and product presales in payments industry 
  • Passion and deep knowledge of global and emerging payments technologies, product solutions, commercial and operational frameworks
  • Excellent understanding fraud systems, 3-D Secure, payment processors
  • Consumer driven mindset – must have an in-depth knowledge of how risk solutions can drive security and reduce friction from the consumer’s point of view
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel Skills are a must have. 
  • Commercial acumen – an understanding of the economics of the client’s business and the ways risk products can impact a client’s P&L, as well as the commercial drivers of Visa’s business
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical internal and external audiences, at varying levels of management
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and a proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines
  • Highly collaborative, ability to work across multiple teams in an organization. Strong interpersonal skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with leaders and team members within Visa
  • Able to combine aspects of the business and commercialisation with technical understanding and communicate them in both German and English with ease. 
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, requiring support of multiple ongoing product and solution development initiatives and providing product support for teams delivering implementation projects
  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Typically a Tertiary education degree or alternatively 10-12 years relevant industry experience.
  • At least 5 plus years’ experience in fraud services to financial institutions, including identity, authentication and risk. 
  • Knowledge of banking, credit cards, fraud controls and or payment processing within the Central Europe region (DACH + NL)
  • Understanding of complex enterprise selling opportunities and managing/ closing long sales pipelines  (12-24 months)
  • Experienced negotiating contracts with major and regional issuers and a deep understanding of vendor management review processes.
  • Experience managing sales pipeline using a CRM preferably Sales Force.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer/client support
  • Experience working side-by-side with other operational departments
  • Comfortable creating dynamic customer business analysis and presenting to C Level bank executives.
