Looking for a Sr. SW Engineer/Test Engineer with a passion for testing financial applications. This person would help in developing test plans and test execution. This resource will be an integral part of VIPTE team. The resource should be familiar with test life cycle, different Development Methodologies and comfortable with test process and willing to learn new process. Resource should be a self-starter who feels confident about learning and taking control over a code base. Resource should take ownership of tasks, self-disciplined; troubleshoot where necessary, and eager to learn new technologies.

Basic

• 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD)

Preferred

• 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

• Excellent understanding SDLC methodologies
• In depth experience of testing life cycle
• Participate to plan, write, execute and refactor manual as well as automated test cases.
• Working experience in Payment domain
• Good to have experience with ISO 8583
• Working experience with UNIX based or Mainframe based application testing
• Manage configurations, builds, branching, and deployment issues related to delivered code.
• Implement best-fit automation framework and corresponding tests
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of testing at the unit, integration and system level.
• Must be a good team player.

Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
