Job Description

Visa has an exciting opportunity in our Finance department for a Business Analyst to play a critical role in delivering priorities and in the execution of revenue system enhancements and price modifications. 

The Business Analyst will be part of the Finance Revenue Operations organization in Controllership and will be working closely with Finance and other business unit leaders and the Technology team to execute business initiatives (price and product changes), collaborate on designs and manage and support their delivery. Excellent business and systems analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills are crucial for this role. Must also be self-directed and comfortable in multi-tasking, , and adaptable to change.

  • Support the Head of Revenue Operations in delivery of complex pricing changes and ensuring that appropriate processes, systems and controls are in place
  • Lead and deliver multiple projects running simultaneously.
  • Work with Business, Technology Leads and the Project Manager to mitigate or resolve any risks and issues.
  • Analyse system setups and data, ensure governance is followed and review and validate system changes implemented, including documenting evidence for audit and SOX review
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining, standardizing, and automating processes and reporting requirements.
  • Perform validations and testing of Revenue system changes and implementation
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with all levels of management and articulate ideas and recommendations clearly
  • Support the team to identify, evaluate and resolve billing issues in collaboration with Technology, Finance Systems Strategy, product owners and clients
  • Review and challenge existing BAU processes and documentation and ensure continuous process improvements (including automation where possible) are met by designing, documenting and executing optimal end-state processes
  • Ability to work independently, usually within a complex and changing environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet project deadlines
  • Synthesize complex data findings into logical conclusions and impact assessment for management recommendation
  • Use knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems and anticipates issues
  • Influence others within job sub-function regarding practices, procedures and policies and communicates complex issues

Qualifications

  • Business Analyst and/or Project Management experience in Financial systems
  • Bachelor's Degree with a combination of Systems/Accounting/Finance concentration. Or equivalent.
  • Progressive business and/or systems analysis experience preferably with large, multi-national, publicly traded companies.
  • Strong experience of improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, BPR, BPM and BA certifications) and a proven track record of applying them in either a project or continuous improvement environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to translate complex information into comprehensive, concise and high-quality business requirements with minimal revisions.
  • Excellent data analysis skills and demonstrated experience in testing, validation, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, and related disciplines.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time and meet project deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and achieve in-depth understanding of complex processes and systems.
  • Background in transaction-based billing preferred.
