Job Description

The Visa Mobile Enablement Platform (MEP) Product Management team is seeking an outstanding Product Consultant with the vision, passion and commitment to contribute to Visa's global digital and mobile enablement strategy. The Visa Mobile Enablement Platform Product Management team is responsible for global product strategy and execution of numerous mobile-related initiatives.  This role will meaningfully contribute to the Strategy, Commercialization and Business Development of multiple products: Visa Digital Commerce App, Visa Biometric Authenticator App, Visa In-App Provisioning SDK and more.  Reporting into the Strategy, Commercialization and Business Development lead for the team, this role will contribute to various product workstreams, go-to-market activities, internal and external communications, market research, strategic analysis and other activities.  This is a global role, and this person will be tasked with working closely with regional product partners in Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and CEMEA along with other key internal stakeholders across teams and functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Commercialization:  Commercialize products in partnership with regional product teams.  Translate product strategy and capabilities into actionable commercialization efforts and assets for all MEP products in all regions.  Assist in efforts to establish regional pricing strategies and contracts.  Commercialize products in partnership with regional teams by researching and contributing to  pricing negotiations and business constructs.
  • GTM Planning: Create go-to-market strategies and plans for target markets.  Drive the execution of critical product launches and strategic projects across global markets.  Identify and develop cutting edge go-to-market opportunities and partnership opportunities for Visa.
  • Business Case Development:  Develop business cases, ROI tools, benchmarking assessments and create related multi-year outlooks to justify resource allocation.  Partner with regional product teams to research and quantify market opportunities.
  • Product & Market Research: Drive efforts to measure and quantify product performance, end user behavior and market opportunities.  Partner with analytics and research teams to execute client and mobile user research.  Distill market research to provide perspective to product leaders and inform decisions.  Evangelize results to corporate-wide stakeholders.
  • Strategic Roadmap Development:  Compile and analyze user and transactional data to derive insights that will inform product roadmaps and strategies.  Participate in the development of product roadmaps that define & support product goals and strategies. 
  • Competitive Analysis:  Perform competitive analysis gathering intel to identify, categorize and assess competitive offerings.  Perform global mobile app competitive analysis gathering intel specific to mobile banking and digital card apps.  Identify, categorize and assess mobile banking apps across FinTech, Bank, Credit Union and mobile banking vendors.  Perform feature comparisons, gather adoption and usage information and differentiators.
  • Feasibility Analysis:  Contribute to the assessment of new product opportunities and enhancements, size market opportunities, determine client interest and perform feasibility analysis.
  • Marketing & Communications:  Influence the market by creating and publishing product blogs, white papers, webinars and other client or market facing materials.
  • Sales Training & Support:  Perform sales training and participate in key client presentations to create new business opportunities and achieve revenue goals.
  • Partnerships:  Build and grow strategic partnerships with internal and external partners and clients.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 +years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,  JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Experience in mobile/digital banking, payments and/or financial services industry is a strong plus
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are required.  In particular, candidate will be expected to build proficiency in effectively communicating business and technical issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed
  • Must be able to synthesize complex concepts, build subject matter expertise and communicate detailed platform functionality associated with our digital solutions.
  • Comfort with high-level, strategic thinking, including willingness to be an active and outspoken participant in decision-making
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving with ability to collaborate and build consensus across stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience with partner management to foster effective relationships that result in open communication from the partner is a strong plus
  • Interest in developing rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations
