Visa Alternate Payments & Platforms focuses on building and deploying innovative technologies to enable and secure Visa transactions around the globe. Our mission is to launch new, market-leading offerings that create tremendous value for payments aggregators (e.g. Financial Institutions, Merchants, Processors, and Emerging Payments Providers) and delight end consumer users as well as meet clear areas of demand for payment and related services. To effect this transformation across the globe, we are looking for forward thinkers who are passionate about innovating and delivering truly differentiated user experiences for specific marketplaces and helping Visa to grow New Payment flows. Successful execution of this role will be achieved through a combination of team work, payments and delivery knowledge, communication and applied strategy in open banking and related commercialization activities.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Responsible for the commercialisation of Visa’s payment solutions and partnerships in the Open Banking, Open Data and Open Finance sectors across the UK&I
  • Support the development of product enhancements, product gap identification and prioritisation of Alternate Payment solutions and Value Added Services.
  • You’ll be recognised as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Visa’s Alternate Payment capabilities including Request to Pay, RTX Value Added Services and open data platforms and partnerships.
  • This role will champion Visa’s Alternate Payment solutions across Visa’s client base, ensuring client-facing teams have the knowledge, collateral and support they need to rapidly grow product penetration and revenue.
  • You will be well versed on market trends, be forward thinking to be able to identify future opportunities for Visa and specific product and solution gaps, that will feed into the European region and Global product roadmaps
  • You will help to shape our approach to the competitive and regulatory environment. Working closely with our Government Engagement teams to ensure we convey Visa’s Open Banking and Issuer Processing solution capabilities and how they support an open, healthy ecosystem in which merchants, consumers and payment aggregators thrive.
  • You’ll be responsible for developing a cohesive communications narrative that facilitates understanding and adoption of Visa’s Alternate Payment Solutions strategy across the Buyers and Seller side of the UK&I ecosystem
  • Input into the development of key functionality gap assessments for our Request to Pay platform, leading to roadmap enhancements & value adds
  • Work alongside PMO & commercial teams to align on go to market strategies & implementation
  • Support commercial efforts by presenting solutions, explain proposals, reports & findings to clients.
  • People are a critical resource at Visa. You’ll be a strong people manager, with key responsibility for the coaching, development and growth of your team, ensuring delivery against functional objectives as well as supporting individuals personal development goals

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of work experience within the financial services, technology and more recently Open Banking / Open Finance sectors. A clear and demonstrated successful career history of commercialisation of technology based solutions and platforms
  • Significant experience of product development and product management in Open Banking derived from an established participant in the space
  • Passion and deep knowledge of global and emerging payments technologies, product solutions, commercial and operational frameworks
  • Demonstrable experience in the Standard, OBIE, CMA Order, GDPR, SCA and PSD2
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines. In particular, an ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences for internal and external audiences is critical
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with technical understanding.
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, requiring support of multiple ongoing product development, product solution and implementation
  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and drive results. Experience in Design Thinking.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel Skills
