Job Description

Team Summary

The Digital Payment Solutions team is accountable for the product development and management of core digital platforms and capabilities across the Asia Pacific region. These platforms include Visa Token Service (VTS), Secure Remote Commerce, and their associated APIs and services. VTS is a digital provisioning platform that allows issuers, merchants and their partners to request or send digital credentials for use in mobile solutions like Apple, Google, or Samsung Pay; and in eCommerce solutions like Netflix, Paypal, or Amazon. Together with the end-user solution provider, our digital platforms help to deliver a superior customer experience, stronger customer engagement, higher spend, lower fraud and stronger authentication.

Digital Payment Solutions works with many stakeholder groups and markets, across the Asia Pacific region and globally. We partner with account management, product, processing, risk, and design and architecture teams. We partner to deliver product and market strategy, education and training materials, sales and distribution assets, product development, product commercialisation, solution design, and product management. VTS is a critical component within a number of key initiatives in the Asia Pacific region and underpins future network and client product capabilities.

What a Digital Product Manager does at Visa

As a Product Manager operating within the Digital Payment Solutions team, you will be a subject matter expert on the business, commercial, process, and performance capabilities and requirements of Visa Token Service. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholder groups in our AP markets and regional hub to provide information and guidance. Your main accountabilities will include:

  • Creating, reviewing, and enhancing collateral for use by our client facing stakeholders, including presentation materials, case studies, best practice guides, reports, and webinars.
  • Defining and updating processes to respond to regional and market needs including defining minimum commercial and business requirements related to the platform or services.
  • Reviewing and assessing client contract, product, and rule exceptions to ensure valid strategic or commercial justification and alignment with the relevant strategy.
  • Working with legal, risk, finance, and business stakeholders to update commercial agreements to incorporate new strategies, requirements, pricing and services.
  • Project managing programs and initiatives which deliver on the strategic objectives of the business with a focus on revenue generating initiatives.
  • Working with our technical stakeholders to identify, manage, mitigate and communicate issues related to our products or services.
  • Defining, creating, or using product performance reporting that enables the team and our stakeholders to identify and communicate actionable insights relevant to our business objectives or programs.
  • Engaging regularly with our stakeholders to ensure they have the collateral, reporting, pricing and agreements, issues and project management, and reporting they need to execute on their accountabilities in market and region.

Projects you will be a part of

There are two key initiatives that you will be instrumental in delivering:

  • Visa recently announced an initiative called network performance drive, which aims to coordinate and accelerate the shift to digital with a focus on adoption, optimisation and security. As a result you will need to provide regional and market level business, commercial, and communications support.
  • Value added products and services represent an opportunity to differentiate our business in the market, deliver meaningful benefits to our clients, and create non-core revenue streams for Visa. Your accountabilities will include forecasting, management, delivery and reporting for major Visa Token Service value added service initiatives.

Qualifications

What you will need

  • A positive attitude and a passion for quality, analysing and optimising, and defining best practice
  • Strong planning, organising, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Strong ability to manage projects and initiatives on time and to defined objectives
  • 7+ years of experience in a combination of
    • product management of a technical product or service
    • marketing or corporate communications for a technology company
  • Experience in contract management or client contract negotiation
  • Working knowledge of API integrations or software as a service platforms
  • Knowledge and experience working in an agile environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, communications or business management or equivalent experience

Experience in payments or financial services generally may be advantageous; however, if you are the right candidate, you will be able to learn quickly and adapt your existing skill set, whilst introducing diversity to our ways of thinking and working.
