Job Description

The Marketing Analyst, U.S. Sponsorship Marketing will support the U.S. Sponsorship Marketing team who activate and optimize the use of Visa marketing platforms/initiatives and sponsorship assets (NFL, Olympics, US Soccer, FIFA, Hudson Yards, Fashion). This analyst will work across a broad team of both Visa and external stakeholders, including agencies, sponsorship properties, clients, etc., and building best-in-class activation and amplification plans that support business goals for both Visa and its clients. Relationship building is a key qualification for this role.

This Analyst must be able to thrive in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment including Visa Global Sponsorship Marketing, Product and Innovation marketing teams, Brand marketing teams, Legal, Media, and Global Communications. He/she will be results-oriented, flexible, and have a “can do”, positive attitude. Additionally, he/she must have a consistent track record in working collaboratively with internal team members and external partners.  The analyst should be detail oriented and thoughtful when preparing materials for leadership and clients. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • You will support and manage existing sponsorship portfolio, event-time operations, and marketing efforts for US Soccer, NFL, Hudson Yards, and Fashion, with opportunities to work on Olympics and FIFA global portfolios
  • You will support the sell-in and execution of B2B and B2C marketing programs for clients by coordinating the activities of internal Visa cross-functional teams and external agency partners
  • Project tracking of key projects & deliverables including strong budget management
  • You will support the Client Integration function by maximizing asset allocation / usage to drive both Visa and Client activation strategies to maximize use and therefore return on investment of our sponsorship platforms through custom client marketing programs
  • You will provide project management support for sponsorship marketing programs, including running weekly status calls, drafting agendas and call notes, leading creative development process with the agency, routing materials for necessary approvals, managing post campaign tracking and analytics
  • Work cross-functionally to maintain clear communications and secure internal stakeholder alignment
  • Development and routing of legal agreements
  • Purchase Order creation and management
  • Project timeline and budget management
  • Program tracking and results management

Qualifications

Basic

 

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA).  
  • Prior experience in marketing working in fast moving environment. 
     

Preferred

  • 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • 2-4 years marketing experience, including working in sports sponsorships or event activation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills and experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail
  • Team player able to work on multi-part projects across teams and able to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • Ability and initiative to self-manage when necessary and ability to multitask to support multiple efforts as needed
  • Demonstrated problem solving and quantitative skills
  • Experience running meetings with internal and external customers and users
  • Positive relationship management skills and ability to influence decision makers both internally and externally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint presentations
  • Ability to travel domestically if required

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:
 
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms 

Travel Requirements:

The incumbent may be required to travel, up to 10%.
