Job Description

What a Sr. Manager - Data and Security Solutions does at Visa:

The Sr. Manager - Data and Security Solutions will support the Head of Products & Solutions, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand (SMT), to drive all in-market pre- and post-sales support and optimisation for Visa’s Data & Risk product suite across 3 key focus areas - Risk & Authentication Products, Data Products and Open Data Solutions.  The role will be the primary point of contact for all of Visa’s Data solutions, collaborating with internal and external partners and clients across the markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Brunei.

Important to the role is a customer-oriented mindset when developing solutions while having a strong commercial understanding of a network business including the application of leading data, risk and security technologies.  Key responsibilities include all pre- and post-sales engagement, which will include but not limited to evaluating potential product client opportunities, creating client prioritisation pipeline and executing against sales plans.  

Additionally, you will lead overall Data Solutions product management for SMT by working with regional stakeholders, global product owners and cross-functional teams (eg.Account Executives, in-market Product team, Risk team, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Merchant Sales & Acquiring) to develop and prioritise enhancements for existing products, develop go-to-market and commercialisation plan for new products, and ensure operational efficiency.

This role will have a dual reporting line to the Head of Products & Solutions, SMT and Head of Data Solutions, Asia Pacific.

As the Data Solutions lead for SMT, you will play a critical role in delivering against this priority by leading the strategy, prioritisation and development of Visa’s product roadmap for all data solutions in the market.  You will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute Visa’s strategy for the open data economy, scale our risk solutions as well as build out a roadmap for new data solutions to help client acquire new consumers, make improved decisions as well as drive consumer engagement for our issuer and merchant clients.  Identifying partnerships, scoping the build of products and services while working with regional clients, technology partners and in-market teams will bring this vision to life.

Projects you will be a part of:

As part of the Data Solutions team, you will be working on new and innovative solutions and the implementation of market-leading products. These will include:

  • Engaging clients at a detailed level to gain an understanding of their business needs and identify or collaboratively ideate solutions and recommendations to address their challenges through the use of Visa’s existing products or potentially new innovative solutions.
  • Developing annual strategy and associated revenue targets that drive the adoption of high priority products in-market in conjunction with guidance from local client account executives, regional and global product owners, the Visa risk function, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage execution of new data & risk solution implementations with key clients and subsequent optimisations in collaboration with other functions. 
  • Helping assess the feasibility of new risk and authentication solutions for rollout into the SMT sub-region and working with regional and global colleagues on local market requirements and customisations.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Unfailing passion and belief in the transformative power of data in the world
  • 8-10 years of experience, including 5 years of experience in product management, project management, and/or management consulting
  • Strong project management skills and business acumen – ability to influence strategy while driving tactical program execution
  • Proven track record of high performance and recognised as a subject matter expert in business areas or products
  • Excellent contract and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of Visa business and organisation strongly preferred
  • An impressive record of digital products/services delivered from idea through to commercialisation
  • Ability to connect the dots between product, design, technology, and strategy to solve complex problems 
  • High energy, motivated team player, able to effectively lead across functions and teams to drive projects and key initiatives to completion.

What will also help:

  • Knowledge of Visa Data & Risk Products preferred (including Visa Secure, Visa Consumer Authentication Service, Visa Advanced Authorisation, Visa Risk Manager, Tokenisation, Visa Analytics Platform and others).
  • In-market experience and/or knowledge of local language and culture as well as regulation and industry trends preferred
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills required; Data Science background would be a bonus
  • Knowledge of competitive products such as Falcon, SaaS, or others, a plus
