Job Description

What’s it all about?

Visa Europe is seeking a HR Manager to provide generalist and specialist HR advice and guidance to our people. This role will work directly with our people and will also partner with HRBPs to address client HR needs. This individual will be a key member of the HRBP team, supporting our Continental Europe hub functions, and will work closely with cross-functional partners to successfully plan and execute HR programs and services to the business. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who is passionate about delivering great employee experiences and who wants to broaden their HR exposure.

The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating challenges in the dynamic payments sector and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment with significant change; employing innovative HR practices and process that enable the organisation to thrive and grow.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Act as a partner to the HRBP for functional areas within Europe with ownership of projects that span cross functionally within the Europe region. Work closely with the wider HRM team in Europe
  • Collaborate with centres of excellence and HRBPs to influence and support the implementation of both HR and Business programmes and initiatives across a variety of client groups
  • Contribute to the human resources team and commercial client groups by developing and executing best practices, promoting employee engagement and enabling a high-performing workforce to contribute to the company's strategic growth
  • Provides advice on HR solutions including Performance Management, Change Management, Talent Management, Leadership, L&D, Talent Acquisition and Reward
  • Drive the resolution of issues through informal routes, proactively addressing problem areas working collaboratively with the HRBP team. 
  • Maintain an understanding of European employment law, and escalate where issues may require external legal advice 

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Relevant HR experience as an HR Manager/Generalist in a fast-paced commercial organisation
  • Experience working in a matrixed organisation with a solution focused / customer centric mind-set 
  • Proven ability to be operationally impactful and have a hands-on approach including building organisational talent and workforce plans
  • Successful implementation and project management of operational and strategic HR programs and processes across a region
  • Strong understanding of employment law. Team player with customer mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data to deliver insight; advanced Excel skills are preferred
  • Proven ability to apply judgment to interact with all levels of the organisation, make sound recommendations and decisions. 
  • Display high levels of integrity and accountability, and have a passion for creating an optimal employee experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
