Team Summary
The Visa Business Solutions (VBS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing exciting growth opportunities as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core commercial card solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team as we expand to bring payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients and Governments. We work closely with Financial Institutions, Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world. Our focus within Business Solutions is to identify needs, assess opportunities and avenues where we can quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution.

What a Senior Manager in Large Mid-Market segment does at Visa:

  • You will be part of a high-performing team in the AP Hub working with multiple geographies and with different regions, collaborating with market teams, global product and implementation teams to drive key product initiatives, commercialization of VBS products with issuers and fintechs as well as execution of segment strategy for growth.
  • A key pillar of the segment is to drive new payment flow through deep solutioning for specific industry verticals while leveraging on Visa and / or our partners’ capabilities. As a critical team member of the segment, you will be leading the development of solutions for these new verticals. This will require discovery as well as building and executing suitable end-to-end solutions that could be specific to the vertical with a view to provide a scalable solution that can be expanded across multiple markets. This role will involve deep research on the specific vertical, development of specific industry or vertical knowledge, understanding of Visa assets that can be leveraged for solutioning and collaboration with partners who provide industry expertise and capabilities for the specific vertical.
  • You are passionate about product solutioning and product sales and strategy, driving results, pipeline and business growth and will be responsible for delivering on segment targets and outcomes.
  • With an exciting array of new and enhanced capabilities sets on our commercial platforms including virtual cards and mobile, you will work with market teams in their sales outreach and go-to-market activities as well as to drive greater utility across our existing platforms. This is excellent opportunity to drive new launches, execute marketing activities, develop new collaterals for the region to support B2B opportunities and new flows.
  • As some products and offerings are at an early stage of its lifecycle, you will be required to liaise with regional and product teams to provide market and client feedback, insights as well as trends to assist in future development of our offering. You will need to be an advocate for the region and the markets for new capabilities and functionality that could be globally applicable by ensuring product roadmap and prioritization supports regional opportunities and growth.
  • As core commercial cards are the foundation of our offering and as corporate travel recovers, you will continue to be involved in evaluating and planning for growth on our core corporate programs including our travel related solutions such as enhancing Central Travel Account in order to position for recovery and growth. You will lead in initiatives that may impact our clients from a business perspective including changes to pricing, product features, releases and any global updates to our core offerings.
  • You will serve as role model for the team by acting with integrity, being accountable for commitments, promoting transparency and healthy debate on key issues, and being a strong and articulate voice of Visa

Visa Business Solutions – Large Mid Market segment is poised for growth as we embark on initiatives to drive new flows through new digital solutions including virtual cards, mobile capabilities and other payment solutions. By working with our Issuers clients, partners, as well as both local and global Visa teams, this role brings exciting opportunities for individuals looking for a challenging, innovative and fast pace environment where solutions are bespoke, new and potentially ground breaking. You will get a holistic experience across product development, commercialization and sales. Additionally you will have the opportunity to work across Asia Pacific markets The solutions you build will not be client specific but scaled for an entire ecosystem As a contributor based in the Hub, you will get insights into the payments industry, commercial cards and digital payment trends across geographies that is critical to driving our next phase of growth.

Qualifications

What you will need:

We are looking to hire candidates who have accumulated a variety of experience and has a strong interest and curiosity about the payment industry, is client-driven, solution based and keenness to develop product acumen.

  • 8+ years of work experience (flexible if you have commercial cards product experience) involving payments especially transaction banking or commercial card sales.
  • Broad knowledge, emerging expertise and exemplary curiosity with respect to payment industry, Visa business model and / or products relevant to the segment.
  • Keen interest in future of payments in particularly for B2B.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex and business issues. Able to articulate pain points, break down complex enterprise payment issues and details of payment flows into practicable and easily understood pieces. Actively seek a hands-on experience in working with different teams both internal and external partners to solve for industry or payment needs in this B2B space.
  • Have excellent verbal and written skills, problem solving and attention to details are required.
  • Be a proactive and collaborative partner who can work independently with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic, cross functional and global organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or business or technology related.

What will also help:

  • Work experience covering industry segments such as OTA/Travel, eCommerce/technology, procurement / ERP providers, Government as a client, Healthcare, Insurance, Logistics and other supply chain experience will be an advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in card network and product management skillset will be beneficial.
  • Strong ability to research, analyse and translate market insights, research and data into useful business needs, trends that could lead to actionable activities and opportunities to further expand upon.
  • Have strong organizational skill set with proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines as well as influence others.
  • Excellent presentation skills including strong oral and written capabilities.
