Job Description

What’s it all about?

The Visa Business Solutions portfolio of products for business procurement is in an important stage of transition, as new tokenised virtual card products come to market in Europe.  This role is responsible for an existing suite of products, with new and innovative products coming on stream in 2022.

What we expect of you, day to day.

 

  • Be responsible for the end to end product management of the Visa Business Solutions (VBS) products in Europe that address procurement. This is an evolving portfolio that including Purchasing Card, Virtual Cards, and other solutions from Partners in the European market.
  • Have a good understanding of procurement strategy and supply chains, and how large and middle market customers manage procurement, including procurement processes and software tools used. Understand the key challenges of procurement, and how procurement managers select payment solutions in different circumstances.
  • Be subject matter expert on the various types of payment that support buyer to supplier purchasing in different environments. Understand the relative strengths of Visa; be able to understand competitive payment services, and be able to understand Partner propositions, analyse their benefits and build business cases as required.
  • Be responsible for the implementation of new products and product enhancements to procurement portfolio, working with the VBS teams, and the wider Visa organisation. New products may also include innovations delivered outside the Visa network, creating new payment flows for Visa, and key industry strategies like tokenisation.
  • Maintain product and service quality. Gather feedback from Clients, understand the quality of the full sales, implementation and day to day operation of the services. Use this information to drive product improvement.
  • Refine key performance reporting, measures and metrics to ensure the profitable delivery of all products. Use customer feedback and financial metrics to recommend enhancements, and improvements to fine tune the financial performance of all products in the sector.
  • Maintain an understanding of regulation as it applies to commercial cards, understand planned regulation and potential impacts and recommend approaches. In particular, have a working understanding of the challenges of PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication (PSD2 SCA),
  • Present the VBS solutions to Visa Issuers across the region, and their customers, as required.
  • Support internal training, communication and education within Visa Europe as required. Build and maintain a product library for use by colleagues in Europe and other regions as required.

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • An individual with a wealth of experience in payments and procurement. This could be with a commercial card issuer or bank, or from a procurement company or consultancy.
  • Evidence of the ability to deliver new procurement products. Including product developments, launch plans and communication. This requires the ability to own and deliver a plan or to work collaboratively on larger projects.
  • An individual who can work with customer support and implementation teams to ensure quality service, and support those teams, including work transition and process mapping.
  • High energy level, performance oriented and passionate about Visa’s commercial products, and has an interest in the future of real time payments.
  • Have credibility to work with Clients, strong relationship skills to gain the confidence of clients, and the ability to establish open and transparent relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are critical as your will be communicating both business and technical propositions to Clients.
